When do N7 missions disappear if you don't do them?

Does the same thing happen with N7 missions? Because the game files are organized pretty poorly on the game discs, all the N7 missions are on disc 2 even though half the game's main missions are on disc 1, which means near constant disc swapping for the first few hours. I want to hold off on the N7 missions until after the halfway point of the game. Anyone know if I can actually do that? Or will they just disappear if I avoid them for too long?

Example: You get the N7 mission on Benning fairly early. If you don't do it before you cure the genophage, it's likely to disappear.
The "acts," as I see them are broken up as curing the genophage, dealing with the Rannoch situation, and going to Sanctuary.

On my first playthrough, I feel pretty sure that Benning persisted into the second act. However the mission involving the missing soldier's father had expired. So, you could still do the mission, but couldn't report back to the father. My impression is that N7 missions (possibly all combat missions) stick around until the point of no return (at the very end), but the various fetch quests do expire.
I haven't tested it with main quest missions though. For instance, I don't know what happens if I cure the genophage before rescuing Victus' son. I do know that the Rachni mission will persit into the second act.
On following playthroughs, I've adopted a git 'er done mentality. Do all available missions before the act-ending ones.
I do agree with Ice Cold J's assessment of the act-ending missions.

Actually I take that back. I think the Cerberus Headquarters mission is the point of no return for side missions—not Sanctuary. Been awhile though, could be mistaken.
Kinda what I meant. Cerebus HQ = endgame. I'm not sure if you can do anything after sanctuary or not, but that's what I implied.

quick question, do the ardat yakshi and cerberus scientist missions disappear if you don't do them before priority rannoch or do you have till endgame?
You have them till Cerberus HQ.
The only things that disappear after priority rannoch are the other two on rannoch.

Grissom academy disappears after priority tuchanka, along with various other things, so make sure you have everything sorted before you do that one.

You can do them after Rannoch, certainly.

Planet Scanning/ "Fetch" / "UPS delivery" missions
Side Missions/Galaxy at War missions (IE Tuchanka Bomb, Grissom Academy)
N7 Missions (IE Cerberus Lab, Fuel Reactors, basically the MP maps)
Priority Missions (IE Priority: Tuchanka)
I found it very dificult to do scanning in some sectors without alerting the Reapers. Doing any mission resets the Reapers' Alert setting, so doing a Galaxy at War Side mission before returning is a must.

Not exactly, it disappers after Priority Citadel 2, but it will also disapper if you 3 other missions after getting this one
The best order to miss nothing (and changing discs only 2 times on 360):
Menae
Sur'kesh
Tuchanka: turian platoon
Tuchanka: the bomb
Grissom academy
N7 academy (UPS delivery inside)
N7 Benning (UPS delivery inside)
As many as Citadel UPS quests as possible
Priority: Tuchanka
all the others are not timed (save for the Rannoch arc)

Correct, I only really consider priority Tuchanka to be the cutoff point because there are things on the citadel you wont be able to turn in if you do it because of how the place changes some of the quest givers wont be there anymore to turn in., my mistake counting grissom academy, you can still do it after tuchanka but not after you go back to the citadel after.
You can find a list here of what you lose if you go to tuchanka.
http://masseffect.wi...ority:_Tuchanka
For example, the quest Bitoic Amp Interface which is a quest item you pick up at grissom academy, wont be completeable if you do grissom academy after priority tuchanka.
