When setting parameters for multiplayer games to join, we can choose specific maps or enemies, or just set it to "Any"...

But there is no option to ONLY look for games with either maps or enemies set to "unknown".  Considering the juicy experience bonuses that are given for Unknown games, it truly baffles me that in order to find one running those settings I have to just use "Any" and keep looking until I find a room that's actually set to unkowns instead of specifics.



Sure, once you get a character up to 20 that bonus is useless (It really should be a credit bonus instead of an XP one, don'tcha think?) and on Gold especially people like to choose their specific enemy to match their build and equipment selections,  but after promoting a class and starting them over back on bronze and silver, I really want those bonuses so I can level them back up as fast as possible.

I have often wished for this option in theory, but the matchmaking system has been so haywire lately that I'm not even sure what you'd end up with. Last night, I looked for 5 matches in a row with the only search term defined being "Location: Firebase Dagger." I ended up in three different lobbies for Geth/Firebase White, one for Firebase Reactor, and one for Firebase Dagger. Uh...

I think some sort of advanced search option in general would be nice, the way it's streamlined now is pretty annoying.

I've been seeing a lot of people putting unknown to get people in and as they are loading changing it to a specific map/enemy/difficulty without people noticing.

This seems more like an oversite than a feature request. Any option available from Create New Match should be available when using Quick Match. The only way to find an Unknown/Unknown match right now is to select Any/Any which is the catch-all.

Hosting can take ages to bring in players and usually isn't worth the wait time.

Hey, some of us promote our classes as soon as they hit 20. I've always got just one little upgrade path I want to try differently, and playing only unknown/unknown matches gets me back up to gold an hour or so faster.

yes..and the ability to exclude certain maps/enemys...for instance i want to not keep getting fbwgg but i dont care about anything else....also i hate condor... so an option to remove both of these and im good to go

Yes this sounds like a very good idea. Just differentiate "any enemy" from "unknown enemy" and "any map" from unknown map"

I agree and not just because I don't want to farm it. People specifically choose this map all the time against all factions and I'm really bored with it.

I'm just glad I haven't been thrown into a platinum game midmatch when I selected bronze for the last couple of days.

The other day, I did a search for any/any/bronze and ended up in FBWGG with my level 8 sentinel. Would love to have unknown/unknown as options as I hate losing the XP bonus because I end up with groups who want to do specific maps and fight specific enemies.

I believe I brought this up last week. It's time for Unknown Quick Search option.

I have supported a "Random" option for a long time. "Unknown" should be another way of saying 'any' when searching, including specific matches. "Random" should search only for truly random matches.
