Dark Channel's recharge makes it useless, IMO (unless you are using it as you ONLY power).

This is the main reason I will NEVER use Javik. He has 1 point in DC by default and him using it makes him useless to me for over 10 seconds. You cannot reset his powers to remove the point (so he can't have it available) and I have no intention of turning off squad powers as some of them HAVE used their own powers intelligently every now and then.

Javik is pretty awesome, you know you can use other squadmates to make a BE, right?  Also the lift grenade is powerful, you don't need a cool down. 

There has to be another reason besides Dark Channel for not using Javik.

Reave stacks on itself which results it some crazy good DOT, however Dark Channel doesn't stack.

dark channel because changes target,reave is good too because you can chose the range ev.
I prefer dark channel anyway,but reave is devasting too

DC has a slow effect that Reave lacks which can be pretty handy vs. some enemies.

Dark Channel if you have and consistently bring Liara and Kaidan on missions
Reave if you have and consistently bring Liara and Javik on missions

In either scenario you only have to use Dark Channel once on a given enemy cluster, and on the weakest enemy, since it will chain to the nearest one after the first target dies--usually due to iterative detonations with Reave and Warp.
