I don't like your ground rules. Why can't Wrex use biotics? He's a Krogan Battlemaster, and Krogan don't believe in fair fights, the believe in winning at all costs. Setting those rules in a Krogan duel is like saying 'no headbutting allowed.'

Anyway Wrex wins based on experience

Biotics are kinda cheap. This is basically just a krogan verse another krogan deathmatch. Their guns will run out eventually but biotics are unlimited.

Their guns are only ment to get each others shields down, then the real fighting begins.

So in a way, this is a more krogan style of fighting. No technology, besides the shotguns to get each others shields down. Just krogan verse a krogan.

Look at the scenes presented in-game.

Grunt takes on an army of rachni solo and wins.

Wrex can attempt to kill Shepard on the Citadel and is gunned down pathetically easily with just a pistol.

Grunt has cutscene magic on his side! His clearly superior. :wizard:

Wrex would win. if you listen to the lore on Tuchanka in ME2 they say how Wrex killed a thresher maw by himself during his rite. Grunt needed Sheps assistance and even then sometimes you run out of time before you kill the maw.

This is precisely what I thought of. Plus, you have to account for Wrex's hundreds of years of experience over Grunt, which would certainly tip the odds even more into Wrex's favor. I think it would be a close fight (and certainly Wrex's toughest yet), but I believe Wrex would inevitably be superior.

Wrex survived Aria, he will survive Grunt - a.k.a. win against him.
He's just too experienced for Grunt to stand a chance.

Wrex by a long shot Grunt was never that great never even wanted him in my squad 90% of the time. Now Wrex. THAT was a Krogan, but even if you don't allow biotics it's still not a fair fight as a Battlemaster Wrex naturally has better recovering abilities he would heal after every hit while Grunt would heal after every 2 hits. In terms of endurance Grunt just fights because he enjoys it. Wrex has a responsibility to be the biggest bad ass to hold all the other Krogan in line.

So Wrex without a doubt solely cause he's made out of tougher material than science and a test tube. Also he has much more to lose down the line Grunt doesn't really have a cause or purpose other than to exist and be "Perfect".

Grunt was awesome, I was pretty disappointed that he can't join your party in ME3.

Wrex died in my ME1 play thru. Hell, I didn't even know that he could live until after I beat ME2 and a friend told me.

Grunt is still pretty young. He's got potential, but Wrex would tear him apart.

Come to think of it, that's another thing that's pretty weird. Shepard didn't seem surprised at all to see Ravagers on Tuchanka, but when he went to do Grunt's mission later on he was really shocked about the rachni. He must have quite the bad memory.

I'd say Wrex, as things are in the game. A few centuries later, though...

Agreed. Wrex has more XP (yes, well this IS a forum for gamers, I can use geektalk).

On the other hand, Grunt is the perfect Krogan. As it is, it would be really close. In a century or two, Grunt would probably win.

Image IPB I love them both BTW. Wrex is Shepard's old pal and I've always thought of Grunt as Shep's little brother with temper issues. Image IPB

Wrex up to the point when Grunt comes meets you at the Rachni Queen. From that point, Grunt wins.

NOTE: If Wrex manages to bring his people back to glory, then he rules supreme.

EDIT: this is what i get for not reading the OP. Grunt would win the fight.

Does everyone forget that grunt has the genetic memories of like loads of Krogan warlords in his brain? He was born to fight, and he has all the experiences and prowess of those Warlords on his side?

Grunt - his battlemaster would aid him :D

I would shoot Grunt in the head point blank for so much as aiming a gun a Wrex.

That Argument is moot.

Shepard had to kill the Thresher Maw for Grunt.

Wrex killed it by himself.

You guys are aware Wrex is only like 300 years old or so. That's pretty much being in his early 20s in human years. Grunt is more like 17-18 but the age prime thing is kinda silly when you live as long as the Asari.

Wrex is probably much older than that. It's said that his father was still trying to get his people to fight right after the Krogan Rebellions.

A few people, myself included, have figured Wrex to be about 700 or so.

Wrez .. Wrez did everything by himself while grunt was just a clone with imprinted memory.
