I cant decide whether to buy the xbox or pc version of DA. I would prefer the PC, but I am not sure if I want to chance 40-50 bucks on my PCs rig.

I have vista, 2.4 ghz dual core, 2 gb ram, 7600 gt video card. Can anyone tell me how well this will run it, and on what settings?

Let's get back to here, shall we?  The 7600 GT is the game's minimum.  At medium resolutions, and with low image quality settings, it will get respectable frame rates.  Probably as good as 40 FPS for an average.  It won't LOOK as nice running that way as the way that the game will look on an Xbox360.

That's where we started from, and those are the answers that were requested.

There are numerous advantages (in a PC Gaming person's opinion) of running on a PC, but in the short run, it's access to mods from other users that really reflect the largest benefit.  Deciding whether that particular advantage is worth upgrading to a current Mainline ("n600") video card for $40 is what you wanted to determine, but truthfully, everyone has a different take on relative values like that.

These threads often have people exaggerating how badly it will run on an old system, bragging about their muscle systems and how you need to beg mom for an upgrade immediately.
It says in system requirements you need a dual core processor for DAO wich i do not have. Yet I've had no trouble running it with medium settings (medium quality and textures, 4x anti alias and frame buffer effects ON) on my six year old computer. Windows XP, 3,0ghz single core, ATI Radeon x1650 pro 256mb and only a puny 1,5gb ram. Framerate drops in places but not enough to make me quit playing, and believe me I'd quit if it was a huge stutterfest or graphic corruptions galore. I play few games nowadays I'm just happy as hell I can play this game without buying a new comp. :)

You are totaly right!

My system specs:

Processor: Inten Celeron 420 1.6Ghz, Code Name: Conroe-L (As show in CPU-Z) (This is a single-core cpu)
Memory: Generic 2GB DDR2 PC2-5300 333Mhz (As show in CPU-Z)
VGA: ECS Geforce 8600GT 256MB

I can play ALL today modern games without any problens (in low or mediun settings!)

Games i'm playing now wiht that "S H I T" system spec i have:

Dragon Age Origins
COD: Modern Warfare 2
Divinity 2
Assassins Creed 1
Batman Arkham Asylum
Dead Space
Call of Juarez Bound In Blood
Mirror's Edge

Stop lying and claiming your system can run those games you mentioned, shame on you for letting people with highend computers feel bad for buying expensive gear just to run the most current games available.

It's not a lie... I said that i can play in low or mediun settings! Never in "High" or "Very high" settings.

Ok, i can say that i can't play Crysys, and the final batle of Dragon Age: Origins is runing very slow, using fraps to measure the fps count, it shows average 20 fps in the final batle with everthing in low. I'm in the part that i need to kill 2 generals before facing the archmage.

I'm sorry, but I really don't think that your situation is pertinent here, nor is any argument that your particular aversion to decent hardware useful in the context that the OP created here. You need a separate thread in the Off Topic forum about how you enjoy doing more with less better than anything, like enjoying a game.

Please stop muddying the water with your bragging about something most of us could care less about. Thank you.
