So, if the Indoctrination Theory was correct, would you still be upset?

He's saying that it should have been included upon release.

Space Magic or "It was all a dream"
Now that's a fun choice, **** or ****.
It's not quite like that, indoc theory gives them a chance to try again effectively, it's not that the whole game was a dream just the last sequence was something other than what it first appeared. Space magic however will always be space magic.
It's far from an ideal situation I admit, but unless you like space magic I don't see how the indoc theory can be just as bad as what we got (or worse as some people seem to think).

unlikely
Indoctrination Theory implies that Shepard is on Earth.
- The Reapers still out there
- The Citadel still out there
- The Crucible still out there
finally .. if IT is true, must start when Shepard wake up.
But the FAQ makes IT very very very very unlikely.
IT is by far the best ending in gaming history.
IT is not an "ending" proper because the game does not end there.
The only purpose of IT is to make sense at all in a brilliantly way.
But BioWare choose Artistic Integrity.
But BioWare choose Magic Space
You didn't answer the question, would you be happy if it WAS true.
the part of ''the best ending in gaming history'' and ''brilliantly way'' wasn't enough perhaps
ok
I'll be very happy.

...how? 16 different endings doesn't equal IT. It means I want was promised in the first place, not more muddled hooey.

But ... I would have LOVED it if they came out with DLC where your squaddie yanks you out of the rubble and continues the battle toward a satisfying conclusion with Harbinger.

IT only explains the current ending though, still going to need a new one.

If IT *was* correct, and THAT was the end of ME3, as is, I'd be pissed.

That would be nice. Still upset that they chose not todo that IN THE FIRST PLACE but whatever.

I'd like to reply to this .
Yes while its true that Destroy would be the correct answer in these three choices it goes along with the rest of the game where you've made choices throughout the game and saw the consequences of those choices . cure or not cure , upload or not upload these are choices
The three choices within the IT ,two of them would lead your character to be indoctrinated (game over of course ) correct choice He/she wouldn't wake up on the citadel , He/she would be in the rubble back on earth .
Then the game would continue from that point to the final battle , and resolution .
that's my take on how it would work
and I'd love it to be true and yes

Another reason I wouldn't like it is because it would mean that there is only one right choice. How would it work. You pick destroy and then you see a cinematic of Shepard waking up going onto the Citadel and using the crucible. You pick one of the other two, and the game over screen starts rolling and you reload.
The more I think about it the more I dislike it.
Point missed again, the whole "dream-sequence" is Sheps' psyche being messed with, along with portions of his/her own HOPES, regarding the teams' survival.
The 3 choices are ONLY part of that hallucination, IT doesn't say one way or the other, what awaits us after awakening, just that we've still got a job to do, and dammit I'm still hoping for that ONE thing, I came here to do!!!!!!!
Shut down those arrogant SOB's forever!!!!!

Not that I hate the indoctrination theory but it would just prove that BioWare did not even deliver an ending. A bad ending is better than no ending in Mass Effect's case.

I don't know it I'd be upset or not, I suppose it would depend on how they would manage the new lefit ending and how they would deliver it to the players.

BioWare didn't deliver an ending? What if the IT is true AND delivers an ending PLUS epilogues?
I don't see why everyone is saying it doesn't give you an ending, yes it does, it lets you finish the damn fight you started. So what's the problem?

Having picked one of them should have some effect though - the degree of indoctrination is indicated by your choice, and affects the real final mission somehow.ohupthis wrote...

From what I read about it. Destroy means you broke the attempt, Synthesis means you became a husk and Control means you were indoctrinated. Almost every person I've seen talk about the IT broke it down like this.
