I've just started a new DA2 runthrough and wanted to start my Hawke as an aggresive/direct personality. I did it from a RP perspective as I wanted him to have had a chip on his shoulder after coming from Lothering and being stuck with Carver (who he didn't get on with...). However I'm now moving over to a peaceful personality after being influenced by his relationship with Anders. I can see that I'm about a third of the way through Act 1 and he's still coming out with aggressive answers to non choosable dialogue. How long does this tend to last?

I know it 'stacks' and personality is determined by how you choose dialogue, I just wondered how long after this point it will take for him to go to being a peaceful character rather than a rude one?

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Till the next Act. In the beginning of each Act first few responces will determine Hawk's personality. IIRC.

Not necessarily, no. But it is easier to switch personality in the beginning of an act. Your dominant personality is strong and need a lot of other consistent choice of another tone to switch (And by that each time you do pick agressive it is an massive stepback towards going out of agressive).
It is easier, as the poster above mentioned, easier at the beginning of each new act where the dominant tone is not as dominant.

Okay thanks guys. I'll continue to make diplomatic choices and hope by the beginning of Act 2 he's a bit more personable lol...
