Apologies if this thread is in the wrong section; I didn't know where else to put it really. I have just finished reading Mass Effect Revelation, and while I found it really interesting as a Mass Effect fan, there is one thing that kept annoying me.
The SSV Iwo Jima, an alliance frigate, was annihilated by a single shot from a portable mass accelerator cannon that took merely seconds to set up. If the size of the Normandy is anything to go by, the Iwo Jima can't have been a small vessel, yet the Blue Suns managed to make short work of it. The writer does not go into much detail at all about this incident. Nor is Anderson, or the Ambassador troubled by the significant loss. The destruction of the military frigate also occured on Camala, an important colony to the Batarians, and while the Council had managed to arrange for a deal between the Batarians and the Alliance for its use, it is annoying that the book does not talk about any Batarian reaction to the incident. How could the Batarians not realise that there might have been a connection between the wrecked frigate, and the destruction and massacre of the refinery?
I'm on to ordering the second book now!
