I played it where I supported the mages so I naturally expected to fight Meredith. Now from what I understand, you always fight Meredith at the end, even if you side with the Templars. Why? I know she went nuts because of the idol but what was her justification to try to execute you when you sided with her? What does she say in here little speech before the fight? Her justification when you side with the mages makes sense but curious what she pulls out of her ass when you help her.
Quick Q about Meredith and siding with the Templars...

I suggest you watch Youtube if you want to hear Meredith's anti-Champion speech. It's a little different depending on whether the PC is a mage IIRC, but it boils down to "I think your involvement in all these affairs and your Rise To Power is suspect! None of this would have happened if you hadn't come to Kirkwall!"

Yeah I know what she says is because she went nuts. But I am curious what she still says. It can't be "because you sided against me" because sideing with the Templars would be siding with her.
