I feel like a hipster d-bag saying this, but I already saw this in-game. I'm kinda surprised more people haven't seen it yet... but Vega does seem to be strangely hated around here. I'm not a huge fan of him myself, but c'mon. He's not *that* bad, and this scene was hilarious.

Vega has some groan-worthy lines in the elevator chase.

When you converse with Vega directly, it's bland. His peripheral comments are much better, almost worth taking him along.

I really do like Liara more because of that video. She knows she's been rejected and she accepts it and stays professional.

I've never seen it mind you as I never brought a save forward where I cheated on her, but I like that she's adult about it.

I rarely used Vega just because I had two other soldier type characters: Ashley and Garrus.  I liked Vega just fine, but come on, he has some stiff competition at the party select screen.  Usually I went with Garrus since it's really helpful to have another Overload available when you're an adept.  And come on, it's Garrus.

Direct one-on-one conversatoins with him are rather lacking. It's the other stuff like him interacting with others and random comments that are much better.

While Liara is often surprised if you reject or dump her, she's actually pretty good about taking it in stride. She's not hostile like Ashley is. Cheating on her with Samantha Traynor is probably about the most pissed I've seen.

Yeah, I've always liked James. Him and Garrus in the mess hall comparing stories was one of my favorite scenes in the game.

Idk i think making EDI a squadmate for whatever reason was far worse.  She was fine and funny as the Ship computer she didn't need a body.

Different reactions depend on your relationship with the original love interest and the new one. If you tell them about breaking up or not; each love interest gives different responds to Tali.

Liara can just be as mean as Ashley in her own way. (Nerve-Stim Pro)


It is something to think about.

To be honest, I didn't see that scene with him until my 3rd playthrough. I never used him in previous playthroughs, so by then I was just trying to mix things up. First run though? Yeah, gotta stick with Tali and Garrus, or the occasional Liara and Garrus.
