A lot of this is OUR fault.

Blindly listening is another thing. If fans cry for pink elephants, will Bioware add them to the game? The answer is no. People complain about broken things. Bioware should've FIXED them, instead of throwing them out into the trash.
OP, your point is invalid. Bioware listening too much is a myth. In truth, they only listened a little before getting sick and tired of feedback, because the flaw in player feedback is that douchebags always exist, and you have to sift through the douchebags, which make up 95% of your feedback.
So, OP, please consider the merit of fixing issues instead of throwing them away, like Bioware did, when players gave valid feedback.
Personally I must have converted more than 5k items into omnigel because I was too lazy to "make space" in my inventory full of maxed items and mods.

You are kidding me right? The Protheans wrote...
don't remember any of that apart from the Human Reaper Larva.
Which was badly done, no one complained about Harbinger, Saren and Sovereign.
People complained endlessly about the human reaper larva being stupid and looking like a Terminator, and also about Harbinger's one liners and how he made the Reapers looks like clowns in comparision with Sovereign.
And then you have the nerve of calling the OP misguided fool? Do your research first.

You obviously don't understand English and no nobody complained about Harbinger.
Calling Harbinger a clown is hardly called complaining.
If you still don't get it I said the Human Reaper was done poorly.

Now can you say an ending that is so bad, has so many plot holes you can drive a planet thought it is the players fault. I cannot see asking anyone asking for that.

I can't say it's bad, because of artistic integrity.bigbad1013 wrote...

So... who asked for the ending? Anybody? Raise your hands please if you asked Bioware to do this specific ending.
It was me.
What? You didn't love how artistic it was?
Best excuse ever. I'm gonna use it at work each time I'm lazy and make some mistake "sorry boss, artistic integrity !".

I never had a problem that there was no boss fight in ME 3. I didn't need one, that was not important for me. I also didn't care much that they took out the Mako or that ME 2 got more of an Action game than ME 1. Cause all 2.95 games always had this
- Good writing, a very interesting, intense story
- Extremely well written characters you really grow to care about
- You could decide most important things yourself and your choices mattered
I don't know if I missed anything, but I never noticed that any fan criticised one of these points or asked them to be removed from the games, so I don't see how you can blame the players for that.

Yeah, I misread that bit and I apologize. Still, people ****ed endlessly about Harbinger and his THIS HURTS YOU whether you remember it or not and it's obviously one of the prime reasons he's not in ME3.The Protheans wrote...

Another example is Jacob and the priiiize, was it corny and stupid? Yes it was and people complained too and so Jacob's romance was bombed in ME3, way beyond coincidence.

I don't think it is a prime reason
As I said in my first post, a lot of things were cut in ME3.
- Harbinger
- Side Missions (Let face it, that means the mako and hammerhead got cut too)
And it could be they wanted Harbinger to be a lesser enemy and make the Reapers overall a bigger enemy, as in they're everywhere killing everyone.
Less personal and more on a grander scale, ME2 was a more personal game for shepard.

But yeah, I think they were forced to remove the Mako due to so many people complaining about how it sucked ass.
I loved the Mako, it was an awesome little car.

It's all speculation in the end but there's a very clear pattern of impopular elements dissapearing or getting shafted (The Mako, The HAmmerhead, Harbinger, Boss fights, Jacob) while the most popular stuff gets te center of attention, you can't possibly deny this. The Protheans wrote...

For instance Cerberus became way too prominent IMO as the main plot was drifting away from the Reapers. The fight for Earth I don't understand...I thought I was saving the galaxy...Removal of the Mako and planet exploration, the sexual harassment you are subjected to by all crew members, the increased role of many characters which never scheduled to become that important.
You know, when a company announce a trilogy I except them to know where they are going with it instead of making it on the fly depending on a forum's feedback and which characters are the most popular. This is where true artistic vision lies. And I'm sure the ending would have been better for it.

Don't forget we hate side missions, face it without side missions the mako and hammerhead are null.
I feel I explained the Harbinger cut quite well.
There was never any real boss fights in Mass effect anyway.

Have you considered that those elements were conneceted to the vehicle itself? No Mako=no side missions and exploration. The Protheans wrote...

What is your definition of side mission? Because any mission not labeled Priority in ME3 is considered a side mission, most involve ME2 squadmates.Side missions too.
Don't forget we hate side missions.

Not really Mass effect 2 had loads of side missions not connected the to Hammerhead.
Lack of the Hammerhead/Mako =/= No side missions
Someone at Bioware got lazy.

The 2 sort of side missions are Jacob and Jack which aren't really side missions, more like loyalty missions.

Seriously, I wanna KNOW who complained about the Mako!!
I did, it could have been implemented way better and with better landscapes on planets, not just generic repeating patterns. But apparently the easiest solution is remove it, there, problem solved!
