So I decide to give the multiplayer another chance today, forgetting why I didn't like it in the first place. Well, I sure as hell remembered having to search for a BRONZE game w/cerberus enemies like 10 times because a bunch of lvl 200+ snobs feel the need to kick newbies...ON THE EASIEST FREAKING DIFFICULTY. This is just bs. I'm just playing to get enough EMS to get the "good" endings, but I can barely get on any games because a bunch of high levels don't want to play on silver and gold where they belong. <_<

edit: Don't know if it matters or not, but I'm on the PC version.

Maybe they can't play on Silver and Gold because they suck, and they kicked you because they didn't want you to laugh at them for being terrible?

There is no reason to kick anyone on bronze aside from not readying up.

Sorry, bud.

I'm very pro-kicking at the gold level but it's asinine to kick someone from bronze.

Lol. It's just a game. I wouldn't laugh at anyone for being too stupid to play at their own level. I'm just annoyed at the fact that it's IMPOSSIBLE to get into a game as a low level player, even on the easiest damn difficulty! I really think there should be either N7 lvl caps, or different playlists to comat this. How the hell am I supposed to earn the credits to buy the better weapons and whatnot if I can't even get into a game to earn any?

sorry you went through that :) theres a thread somewhere here for mentors and beginner MP players, you can try joining that, or maybe find a group of like-minded ppl who play it for fun and dont have that attitude

I actively drag Bronze players into Silver
just to educate them on the difference

Its a bit of a hassle but its worth it for the proud few that learn
On one proud occasion after 5 silver games one of them actually outscored me ... it was beautiful

I totally agree. Which is why I think bioware needs to address this issue. Because I get kicked out of almost EVERY damn bronze game I search for, which is just stupid! :( I always ready up unless I'm taking a few seconds to upgrade powers in between missions.

edit: I find this very ironic, since I remember accidentally playing a few gold games when I first got ME3 before realizing the difference, and didn't get kicked or even yelled at. :P

Don't worry, I won't kick you from bronze.

Unless you are one of those people who refuses to ready up.

Or you don't have your mic on push to talk.

i rarely play anything but silver anymore.

i sometimes dip into bronze to test builds, gain levels if low, or get a easy 15k finish off a prem spectre pack before bedtime.

when i do play bronze it dont kick people. no reason to.

I just promoted all of my characters and I've been kicked or the host quit from 3/4 lobbies. In all of those I had the highest N7 rating.

It's getting ridiculous.

they may be trying to invite someone specific

on that note I wish I could select just one or two private slots rather then all or nothing

I've never seen anyone trying to kick a low lvl/N7 lvl character on bronze on PC. I play rarely on bronze though.

Kicking a new player on Bronze is pretty poor form.

That said, there still needs to be a kick mechanic for Bronze; there are players who sit set to unready long after the rest of the team is good to go, players who simply move to the extraction zone and then leave their computer to farm credits and XP, and the inevitable wanna-be superhero Vangaurd Charge/Nova builds who don't know how to play the class safely and wind up dying five times per wave and abusing the rest of the group if they aren't instantly revived. Among, unfortunately, myriad other forms of griefing.

A low N7 rating or especially a low character level are not grounds to kick at Bronze or even Silver; Bronze is where you're meant to level up at first, and Silver can be done if you play a powers-based class or are at least willing to work with the team. Low N7 and a character level of less than 12 on Gold is probably a recipe for disaster, though.

I doubt that's what the situation is. When I see a N7 lvl 736, 325 and 200 something in a BRONZE lobby instantly voting to kick me (N7 16) out of the difficulty that MY OWN LEVEL is meant to be on, I think it's pretty obvious they aren't just waiting for a buddy to come. :wizard:

Low character level might not be a reason to kick someone from Silver, but I often will leave a lobby for it. Too many people think Silver = average.

We need to be able to kick for above mentioned reasons. Net-net, I think there's less griefing potential in being able to kick than not.

Sad for your experience, though. They should at least give you a game to prove that you're alright (or that you're not, but you are willing to learn).

The only real time someone should get kicked from bronze is for not readying way past when everyone else has. I remember the very first time I went to go try multi player when the game came out I joined with a few guys that were level 17 and 18 and I was immediately kicked probably because I was under experience or something. I even asked why they were doing it and got a reply with "because we don't like you". The nerve of some people, really how are new people and people with low level classes suppose to even build up their experience if they get kicked from bronze which is meant for the new/low level people? =/

Excuse me? I shouldn't have to "prove myself" on a difficulty level that is DESIGNED to be for people new to the multiplayer.  You would certainly have a point if I was trying to get on silver or gold, but high N7 lvls who kick on bronze need to get their head out of their ass. I don't care if you come on bronze for easy creds or whatever, but don't come on the easiest difficulty and kick every newbie that tries to join. You ARE playing on their level after all.

Of course, if bioware just made the whole EMS system to where it was actually possible to get the best ending without multiplayer, I wouldn't even be bothering with MP probably. But that's a debate that belongs in another topic...B)

That's just bizarre - out of idle curiosity can I ask if you are PC, XBox or PS?

VERY. Out of the 10 lobbies I ended up finding, I got 2 games. Very ridiculous. There seriously needs to be an N7 lvl cap for bronze. It's not fair to people like me trying to level up otherwise.
