So I decide to give the multiplayer another chance today, forgetting why I didn't like it in the first place. Well, I sure as hell remembered having to search for a BRONZE game w/cerberus enemies like 10 times because a bunch of lvl 200+ snobs feel the need to kick newbies...ON THE EASIEST FREAKING DIFFICULTY. This is just bs. I'm just playing to get enough EMS to get the "good" endings, but I can barely get on any games because a bunch of high levels don't want to play on silver and gold where they belong. <_<

edit: Don't know if it matters or not, but I'm on the PC version.

I've never seen this behavior myself - especially on Bronze.  If I didn't like the configuration of the team, I'd just exit to the lobby myself.

The only time I kick is when a player appears to have stepped away from their system (non-responsive) and are hindering the start of the game.  I don't think there is another valid reason to kick someone.

Create your own lobby. People are less likely to kick the leader because it forces everyone to sit through a loading screen, of which 1 or 2 people are likely to hit the exit button anyway, thus making the lobby worthless. If anyone who joins your lobby knows how to kick, they're probably aware of this and won't kick the leader, unless they're just being complete idiots.

I was on bronze yesterday with a lvl 12 soldier when a lvl 20 asari adept initiated a vote to kick me out. Nobody voted so instead I initiated a vote to kick the asari out. Everyone else voted. That's the only time I've kicked someone on bronze :)

I don't think I have ever seen a low level or low N7 being kicked on Bronze, except for being not ready for too long. I don't mind low levels, even on Silver. The only persons I wouldn't play with are cheaters, so if I see a low N7 sporting rare level X weapons, I would rather leave the lobby.

Kicking on bronze is so dumb.

Think of it this way, at least you found out they were douchebags before the match started.

Sorry to here that bud.

I have kicked others, because they take too long to be ready for the game, or are complete jackasses on the mic.

Aside from that, I don't care about skill, especially on bronze. If someone who is a level 15+ player, at least a rank 100, and isn't playing with friends, why are they even in bronze? Either they suck, or they want to 1-UP everyone else.

You forgot to set to private, or didnt do it QUITE in time and...you're waiting for a friend to arrive: kick. Someone just got dropped and you're waiting for them to come back: kick. You're arriving in the game with an adept kitted out with a shotgun and a sniper rifle: kick. You don't talk when someone asks for mice: kick. You've got an unpromising name, such as cann43ls420b0ng: kick.

Plenty of possible reasons, even on Bronze, why kicking you might not be so objectionable. Banning kicking in Bronze? C'mon, that's absurd. Create your own match, set to public, and you're there.

No, don't take out the feature to kick people on bronze! Have you ever got someone who joins, ready up, finds a safe spot, and sit there to get the xp and credits?

How often do people do this?  I played a strange game in which the Asari Adept was hiding in a corner on the Palavan Moon map.  The player had been active earlier though.  Wondered if their controls had locked up.

Maybe a problem with multiplayer is that most players are unsocialized gamer geeks?

I'm a mediocre player with a mid-level N7 rating.  There was one game where I was kicked at the very end and a jerk with a thick southern accent accused me of hiding out.

No.  It was round 8 Silver level and Cerberus had wiped me in the first few seconds...

I don't mind really lousy players, especially on bronze.  It is so thrilling when I am #2 instead of always #4.

I actually find the super-player vanguards annoying.  They run off on a one-man crusade and leave the rest of us to survive with a 3-man team.

Never saw kicking on bronze, AFK doesn't count. But I last time played bronze month ago. Looks like sissy bronze can be cruel too. LOL.

I was trying to get my friend in the match today. 1 random guy left, so I switched it to "PRIVATE" but by the time I was able to send the invite it still stuck a new random "PUBLIC" guy in the empty slot. We had to kick him. Nothing against him, either we kicked him or I would have to start a whole new game.

Another time we were looking for people that were using mics & actually using talking. 3 of us were so every time a 4th showed up that didn't use a mic we kicked him. Again, nothing personal, not being anob or elitest, no reason to be offended. We just wanted to set up the game the way we wanted it.

That happened to me tonight.  Mouse batteries died in wave 10, happily died and ran around the house looking for a battery, got it set up just in time for extraction.  It doesn't always mean someone is hiding.  You can usually tell if someone is AFKing for easy stuff, as everyone dies and view switches to the last person hiding in a corner.

Yeah, when in doubt blame misanthropy instead of malice.   Not really being sarcastic, I just find it easier to think that people aren't jerks on principle, but are shy or uninterested in chatting.

Look at it this way: you can ride their coattails, and call it in, performance-wise.  Except if you have 2 of those, and wipe in Wave 3.  <_<

OP, try playing at different times maybe.  There is a difference in players, it seems, starting in afternoon versus evening or late evening.  If you're really desperate, hit me up on Origin - guaranteed you will not have worst score.  =]

I find MP to be rather hard and wish we did not have it, Im not used to playing it and quit after unlocking a new class because of the rudeness people seem to posses there

There is no reason to kick anyone on bronze aside from not readying up.

lol at anyone kicking people on Bronze. I don't play bronze much unless I need to level up a level 1 character, but I actually love having noob teammates so I can just hog all the kills.

Seems odd, on PC I've never seen this, and up until last week I was playing mainly Bronze.

Bioware already gave us the solution. It's a secret though. Don't tell people alright?
So after you get kicked, you hit the quick match button and you hit OK. Then you move on with your life.

I never kick unless the person was AFK (with no good reason) during the last match played.

Yesterday I noticed several N7 200 + cherry picking matches on Bronze Condor. I was hosting and playing HE lvl 20 (heavy pistol, 200% recharge), and a newbie HE joined the session sporting a Mantis and an Avenger. They voted to kick him. I told them where the exit button was. (I have a mic, but only turn it on when necessary.) I'll carry a newbie as long as they try to help, and hell, I was a lvl 5 engineer once and it is problematic.

My reasoning, they cast drone, overload when available (though with -ve recharge that sucks), go for objectives, revive etc. I just hope that they loaded weirdly just because they were low level and trying to survive longer. Still they will learn, eventually.

Bronze is for fun, levelling up new characters, and learning new maps. The kick button should not really be there. IMO.

If you play on PC then add me ( Igipopp) on Origin. I'll play bronze with you, sometimes I like to chill on bronze and play with my soldier. I'm up to play in the evenings (GMT +1 -ish time).

I'll kick people in bronze for a couple reasons.
1. Not readying up within a reasonable timeframe. Pick your powers before joining a match, please.
2. Going AFK in the match and letting everyone else carry you. Pull your weight.
3. Trolling / Griefing. If you take an SMG and follow around your teammates shooting them to screw with their aim, you're gone. Same goes for the idiots playing music over their microphones.

Aside from that? I might mock you behind your back for your idiocy (an adept with a mantis and a mattock? really?) but I won't kick you.

OP if you're having that rough of a time trying to find a bronze match again you're better off just creating a lobby of your own.
