What really left me satisfied was the results of saving the Destiny's Ascension during the final battle. One of the largest and most unique Dreadnaughts in the galaxy really made the difference.

Little did I realize what I was setting in motion in the first game.

I love how it took out five Reapers before going down. Totally awesome!

Went down? I had a bunch of Geth ships sweep in to protect it. Working together, they took down a Sovereign-class Reaper with ease. Felt very poetic.

I know, it was pretty amazing when the Krogans hot dropped onto Earth and ****ed **** up!

Same here! When it first arrived I was like "Yeah!" And when it just totally unloaded like that I was like "Hell yeah!" It made me understand why guys cheer at their televisions while watching sports. Image IPB

The part where all Shep's team mates steadfastly stuck it out to the bitter end by her side to finish things once and for all - now that brought serious tears to my eyes.

I loved the part where your left flank was suddenly threatened by incoming Reaper ground forces, and Shepard had to make a choice of which ground forces to commit to secure that flank. Fortunately, I made the right choice and selected the krogan dinosaur cavalry, led by none other than the mighty Urdnot Grunt. Watching them tear through those ravagers and banshees and brutes was incredibly satisfying.

I loved the part when Joker flew back into the fight and gave the Reapers hell.

I really do love how they showed the results of your companions sacrifices! Wouldn't it have been silly if they negated Mordin's and Legion's sacrifces? I mean, who would want such a downer ending! Gotta say, them baby krogan are adorable.

My favorite part was the final fight and chipping away at those enemies until they were finally whittled down to nothing. Satisfying!

I loved the part when everything seemed lost, then Shepard's voice came over everyone's coms saying that the Crucible was no longer an option and telling them all to buckle up and kick some ass. Seeing everyone gain heart and rally like that was so bittersweet.

Even though a lot of good people lost their lives, they went down fighting.

It was truly epic!  I will never forget the amazing ending seeing all three games worth of decisions playing out before my eyes.

Not to mention the Reaper destroyer that the one geth dreadnought took out with one shot.

I forget what all the quarians did, could anyone give me a refresher?

Agreed, the flips and loops were incredible. Harbinger didn't have a clue how to deal with the Normandy! Also, that scene provided some great shots of the combined fleets kickin' ass!

Taking ownership of their destiny and fighting for their lives...it was totally beautiful.

ITT: so many bitter, angry tears.

Cry some more. I hear if a million tears are shed, Bioware might change the ending.

I know right! I am so glad I saved the Rachni Queen in ME1. She plays a damned important part in the ending.

I mean seeing Sidonis redeem himself in that way - truly heroic the way he saved Garrus!

During the 1942 North Africa campaign, the US MBT, the M4 Sherman, proved to have inadequate armament to stand up in a fire fight with comparable model German tanks. The troops complained to their commanders, and their commanders complained to the rear echelon. Finally, a new armament was engineered, far superior to the M3-L/40 on the standard Sherman. The result was the 76mm L/55 M1A2. Testing demonstrated it had an effective capability pushing it beyond anything that had been seen in combat in North Africa and the subsequent Italian campaign.

Sadly, by the time of implementation, the Germans had begun fielding the Pzkw. V Panther tank implementing glacis armor. The result was the new weapon mounted on the Sherman was almost completely negated by a single technological innovation. Theoretical testing just didn't hold up on the field of battle.

What has this to do with ME3 and Thanix Cannons?

Well, before ME3, no one had ever actually fired a Thanix Cannon at a Reaper.

Mass Effect weaponry /=/ WW2 weaponry.

Just sayin'...

His death was the saddest of all, actually!
