Wow, it's so lifelike. He was also my favourite character because he was uninteresting and 1-dimensional, and I really prefer my NPCs to have no personality.

I know you're being facetitious, and I know that's exactly what this thread is all about, but in this case you're actually wrong. ME3 did not need to explain this little background detail. Unlike the ending, this is one of those times where it's actually OK for fan speculation to explain the little details that the authors did not present directly to the audience.Reptilian Rob wrote...
I really like how they explained all this is ME3!Sgt Stryker wrote...
I'm afraid I can't agree with that. I think the real reason why Collector tech is so hard to understand is because no one has had any real chance to study it, not that it's indecipherable or "unknowable" to the rest of the galaxy. Think about it: the turians had at least two full years to study Sovereign's wreckage, and they were able to get Thanix cannons out of that. Hell, Cerberus was even able to perfect their AI project. Meanwhile, the first time anyone was able to get their hands on a Collector's rifle was presumably during the battle on Horizon, which would not leave much time for anything beyond preliminary studies.Reptilian Rob wrote...
That would make little to no sense being that the Collector's weapons and armor were hardly even in the reaches of current specie's grasp. Little is known about a commom Collector AR, that would lead me to believe less is known about their ship and armor. It's inconsistant because it is stated these things are powerful, unknowable and near invincible.Sgt Stryker wrote...
Have you considered the possibility that the Collector ship is simply made of less stern stuff than a Reaper? No need to invent "inconsistencies" where none exist.Reptilian Rob wrote...
More inconsistancies in terms of the final battle, the full volley of the SR2 took out the Collector ship yet it does nothing to any of the Reapers in ME3.Sgt Stryker wrote...
So I misread your post. That still doesn't change anything. 2 Thanix shots had the same effect as a volley of disruptor torpedoes launched at point-blank range. I have to wonder, how many of those missiles were fired at Sovereign by Alliance fighters and frigates during the Battle of the Citadel?
Not that they use it anyway...

I liked the suicide mission 2.0 where my whole crew worked with me to destroy the reapers. All those loyalty missions and convo's really paid off. Made me a little emotional to be honest. I think this should win GOTY for 2012 and 2013 to be honest, the ending was just THAT satisfying.
Mac Walters >>> than any other writer ever!
I loved that part too! And the part where I saw Krogan riding on Rachni and wiping the floor with brutes!RocketManSR2 wrote...
I loved how Wrex and Kirrahe showed up at the final battle and helped me kill a few of those banshees and brutes! That was awesome!!
