I am currently playing Mass Effect right now patched to 1.2 with both Pinnacle Staion and Bring Down The Sky DLCs  , I love the squad side conversations with each other during elevator rides  , but the problem is they are spread too far away from each other , and are always plagued with numerous citadel news in-between . I get like 20 news for each 1 squad conversations , at this rate I will never be able to listen to all the possible conversations between them . This is very annoying.

Can I find away to speed up this rate somehow ? or at least get rid of the silly repeating citadel news all thogether ?
