Hi folks, as promised I have produced a Batarian video guide. The first
part consists of  the first three waves of Cerberus Gold (with some nice
music) and the second part an audio commentary directly after gameplay
of the build, principles and strategy. I will also post my Batarian Gold
Solo run (which ended at Wave 6 because I got disconnected from the EA
server, which you can see in the video). That vid is up, the guide is in
processing and will be up in a few hours. For those that are too lazy
to watch or listen the build is as follows:

Blade Armor: 4 Melee Damage, 5 Retaliation Damage, 6 CD Bonus
Ballistic Blades: 4 Cone, 5 Range 6 Explosion
Inferno: Nothing
Batarian Enforcer: 4 weapon damage and ammo capacity, 5, headshot, 6 weapon damage and ammo capacity
Fitness: 4,5,6 Melee, Melee, Melee

That
is the build. For more detailed discussion see the video with audio
commentary, which should be up in a few hours. Here is the EA Solo
Disconnet Solo Run:

Actual Guide Video Below:

Forthcoming 2 man Gold Hydra Base Run with Zenning. Unfortunately we made some bad tactical choices by staying the control room towards the end and got swarmed, almost did though. The video should be up in a few hours.  Here is the end result. We got pretty much an identical score but with different builds, mine maxed for weapon damage, his for power, so both are very viable. Main point is to prove how good a Batarian melee build is along with the value of Spike Armor, to counteract whiners and detractors of it:

Goddamn you're awesome.  Me and you play almost the exact same goddamn way.  Add meh!, I want to see ya in action in person!

It's Zenning on Origin by the way

Edit:  By the way, you went with weapon damage instead of power damage?  I personally feel that the increased recharge rate, and Face Blade damage (Around an extra 300 damage when maxed out, and an extra 130 on explosions) is better than some more weapon damage, especially with the way we spam the move).

OK, added. I don't spam Ballistic Blades much, useful crowd control but I prefer to kill with the Graal or my fist.

Kudos bro. I like it when people rock a class that everybody else looks down upon. I can relate bro. I rock the Krogan Soldier hard myself. Nothing more scarier than a Smart Krogan. *Rolls*

The melee stuff was cool, but you would have been better off with fitness speced for health. You were at your most effective with just blades and shotgun headshots.

No, then we could not have punched phantoms to death.

In our teamwork build, you'll see me doing a lot more melee then he does.  In both cases though, we need that extra melee damage to kill those goddamn phantom's quickly.

These things feel impossible on X-box... It's just so slow without mouselook's speed and accuracy...

Batarian Heavy Melee tends to home in on the target, should work on X-box as well.

And of course, there's the Charged Graal+ Heavymelee combo that insta-headshots Phantom's on heavymelee..

You don't need perfect aim to do what we do, just good at knowing when to use powers, your gun, or heavy melee.

I find the Claymore inferior to the Graal on the Batarian. The Graal allows you do do everything; point blank, short range, snipe and it staggers.

I hate having to charge the Graal and anticipate the spikes, id rather just drop one target find cover reload, bb shoot again

Two uses of the word "bro" and one use of the phrase "more scarier" in only five sentences. That takes talent.

I assume Phantoms have much higher HP/Barrier on gold then? I'm doing blades/onepunch on Silver Phantoms with just three points in Fitness. (Though I could admittedly respec out inferno grenade for more points)

nice videos

Have you tested regular melee attack damage with this build ? It should still do tons of damage (1 hit cerb troops on gold perhaps ? (too lazy to do the math :P) ) and have a much shorter animation time than the heavy attack ...You can probably do 2 regular melee attacks  faster than the time it takes for a heavy one ..

I have no idea. Almost never play Silver except at level one. On Silver most things die easily I guess.
