This is the way I go. And with the extended ammo mod, your Marksman cool down is just about ready by the time you finish the clip, so you can just pop off Marksman again which eliminates the need to reload. Absolutely Gold viable for the previous posters that say otherwise. This a great kit for when I want to kick back for some easy Gold matches.

Oh, and I think I'm supposed to say something about necro now. So, necro bad. Arrrgh

 

The previous posters were only saying otherwise about 3 months after the game's release. I don't think anyone doubts the Saber's viability on any difficulty now.

Agreed. Best sounding weapon in the game. Typhoon is pretty awesome as well. Too bad I suck with the Saber.

I use the Saber on my Asari Justicar, N7 Destroyer, Turian Sentinel, and Krogan Sentinel.  Probably my favorite assault rifle.

Indeed. Marksman rifle, perhaps. But the AR category seems to have been designated as the catchall group for stuff that doesn't fit anywhere else. I'm looking at you, M-37 Falcon, and you, Striker, and you N7 Typhoon, and you....! Wait a minute!! The AR category has hardly any actual assault rifles in it.

I love the Saber.  It was my first UR and the first to get to X.  I mostly use it with my Krosent, but I also like with the TSol and QMM.  I don't remember if I tried it with the Destroyer but I am sure it is just as great with him as well.  Depending on the kit, I use different mods.  But mostly I go for EB and EC with AP ammo.  Using MM is fun but I will take a stability mod to help with the recoil.
