For a game so customizable why have there never been a way to show your Shepard publicly?

Keep in mind Mass Effect originally is a console game series which make up a huge bulk of the franchise's consumers, but I'm taken back on how there's no actual online community hub to publically share with other Mass Effect gamers.

We sort of had one with Dragon Age Origins, but why was this never implemented for Mass Effect? Here we are at the 3rd game and it's as minimum on extras as the first, save for the MP feature of the third series which sort of works around the concept that I'm asking with generic helmet covered Shepards.

Would it be too much to ask for this as a DLC?

I'm thinking that the facecodes were a meek attempt at this, but since ME2 never generated facecodes for ME1 characters, the whole concept it is based on is kinda flimsy,

y'know, that's actually a really good point that never occurred to me before.

a simple paper-doll model would be enough for people to show their shep's off. however, with EA seemingly keeping the purse strings pulled tight, i doubt they would approve the cost of dev time if there was no way of them getting anything back; and by "anything" i mean $'s.

There is a website for ME2 faces. Far as I know it is still around.
