spoilers for the mage tower

question... if i destroy all the mages and side with the templars can i still go back to the tower and do the quest for Yuseria and the vial of blood thing in the tomb?

I assume your speaking of being in the fade. Once you kill each fade boss for each island, then it blocks your path back once completed. You can't return to that bosses fade island. I killed all of the fade bosses first then went back to get my party members from their islands. Then you go back to Niall and kill the boss in his area island, before the sloth demon fight in the fade. You fight the sloth in the fade. It's a tough fight too. Once he is killed then Niall comes to you and tells you about the scroll on his body back in the real tower.

Actually I think he is talking about the quest leading to spawning the demon that carries Yusaris (2H Greatsword) and the answer is yes, you can do that at any time. I'm not really sure which tomb he is referring to, but if you mean going to the basement of the tower, that's not possible no. It's only accessible during the mage origin story.

The answer is Yes & Yes. You do not have to complete the Watchguard of the Reaching side quest or Part 1 of the Black Vials side quest immediately. You can come back at any time prior to the end game (even after The Landsmeet) to complete these.
