Why is ME3's ending simply a finish - and not a win?

It appears the "artists" pride dictates we do not need any additional endings.

As one poster's father so succinctly put it "there needs to be a way to win in a video game".
The ending of ME3 does not feel like a win at all.  With what I believe and how I played my Shepard(s) - I lose.

(massive spoilers follow)

We are given three so-called choices:  (with minor variations)
1.  Let the Reapers win.
2.  Kill the Reapers, the Geth, EDI and any other synthetic species.
3.  Merge Synthetics and Organics into a new hybrid.
All of these choices though are based on the supposition that the Catalyst/Reapers were correct - that organics and synthetics cannot get along.  That we must endure a repeating cycle of ascension and violent descent to maintain the balance by periodically wiping out one half of the equation, synthetics or organics.  Or the third option of merging organics and synthetics - therefore making us all the same.
All three choices adhere to one truly objectionable premise - that organics and synthetics cannot co-exist.
This may be suitable for many play-thru's and players.  But what about us who have managed to befriend Legion?  Who have seen the Geth evolve from enemy to ally?  Who have helped culture a romance between Joker and EDI?  Who have - yes perhaps at the point of a gun - brokered peace between the Geth and Quarians?  Who do not see an AI or Synthetic as inherently evil?
What choice do we have at the end of the game?  Where can an evolved being - who is not racist and believes that it doesn't matter whether blood or electrons or goo flows through your so-called veins - where can we "win"?  We can't as the game stands right now.  Nor will we as long as the artists stand on their pride - we *must* accept their viewpoint that the two types of sentience cannot get along and either wipe out one type or merge them into a bland - everyone is now the same - utopia.
Those endings *all*make me feel betrayed.  None of my choices ever really mattered.  None of my work to defeat enemies, save lives and species, broker diplomacy, grow to see both Legion and EDI as friends and the Geth as allies - none of that really matters at all according to the artists/writers.  In the end it doesn't matter that my Shepard *proved* organics and synthetics can not only co-exist - they could become friends.
In the end - I lose and I am forced to swallow the racism that dictates one type must die - or we get rid of our differences and become one.
Not to mention that no matter how I played, what choices I made - the Galaxy gets knocked back to the proverbial stone-age, my friends are stranded, Shepard is toast and forget about your love interest.

The ending for ME3 as it exists right now is not even close to anything resembling a win.  At *best* all I can say is "I finished ME3".  And for a game series I used to love - that is heart-breaking.
