I just wanted to say that i miss my LI very much. In my case it was Liara. It's the fact that i can't be with her anymore you know..It sound very nerdish. But i feel that way :P
And since i don't see the need to replay ME3 again.. I miss her more. I wish Mass Effect was never ending and unlimited.
They should make a new game named: "Mass Effect Love Interests" where you can have a house with him/her. But that is all fantasy what is never going to happen. Unless i have the chance to make it :P

Please vote on this poll if you want to let Bioware know that you want to see your LI in the Extended Cut!

She's not real. Go outside.

Edit: Because people cannot take a joke I feel the need to say that I'm not serious.

People on TV play characters that are not real.  It doesn't mean that people don't empathize with them.

In the OPs case, he's feeling empathy for Liara.  It's actually a good thing since it means you're human enough to have emotion.

The whole point of a voice actor or an actor in general is to make you believe that everything they're saying, even though it's just in character, is real and legitimate.  This is proof that the LI voice actors have done this.

ME was used for people to escape reality, and so now when the ending is similar to the crappier part of reality...people get depressed.

People don't want to feel like this unless there's some form of sweet at the end of it:

Needless to say, nothing about the end of this game, except for Stargazer which isn't even a part of the main ending and is a secret stinger scene, is sweet.

I have the EXACT same feeling. Liara is my LI too. I really really miss her, and everytime I think about the fact that the Mass Effect serie is over and that I won't see Liara anymore just makes me want to commite suicide. I'm not exaggerating. I love Liara, and she has been my LI in every Mass Effect game, and now when the serie is over, I'm just so depressed that I wont see her anymore. The only reason I want a next Mass Effect game is just so I can see her beautiful face again and listen to her heart melting voice again. Yeah I'm a nerd. Come at me bros.

Did you see what they did to Ashley? She has the same face, but everything else is not what it once was.

She is clearly victorious and uplifted!

That's why you read Fanfiction of course, more Liara for free!

Funny thing, given the growth of data per square inch (twice as much in 2 years, forgot the name), which actually holds for like half a century already. Using that, one can calculate how big the chance is we'll have enough processing power to create a real virtual world. One can also calculate the chance that it already happened and that we actually live in one. I'll give you a clue. That chance is rather big.

A game where you feel sad that you cannot meet the characters within the game again...means that the game was masterfully crafted. There have only been a few games that have done this.

It isn't bad at all to miss your LI. Just a shame that other parts of the story couldn't have been handled as masterfully as the characters.

I agree.  I'm going to miss the characters regardless, but to me the ending just made it worse.

This comment pisses me off. So what if she doesn't exist? That means you can't feel emotions and to relate to a fictional character?
Haven't you ever read a book and felt so emotionaly related to one of the characters that it actually affected you?
Haven't you ever saw a movie and when you walked out of the movie theater at the end you just wanted this character to be real so you can love/ be friend with him/her?
Don't try to play the cool guy that isn't affected by emotions. If you feel an emotion to one of the characters from Mass Effect, or from any other video game, you shouldn't hide it and just play cool and say "She doesn't exist, that's so stupid to feel emotions to a fictional being". And if you don't feel any emotions to any character from Mass Effect (doesn't have to be Liara) then I feel pretty sorry for you man.

Shows the magnitude of what Bioware has created with the characters.

I wouldn't say I *miss* Garrus myself. His romance scenes were flawless. Especially that dipsmooch. I'm happy about it.

Settle down. There's a long tradition of people being emotionally effected by storytelling and compelling characters. This is nothing new, and it's nothing to be ashamed of.

To those that are saying "Ha, shes not real, go outside", that's both true and untrue, yes a blue alien female with both reproductive organs and tentacles for hair dosnt exsist. The but her traits and personailty that you would become attached to, do exsist.
