Exactly, you get it. It is not evidence for any people being weird, or freaks, nerds or anything but that BioWare managed to create such an intense bond between player and characters, with awesome writing and very good dialog and voice actors, that some, maybe the more sensitive players now feel depressed and hurt, knowing how it all had to end.

First off DLC, I am sure more adventures await with your LI.

Second bit. First world problem. http://library.think...rg/05aug/01259/ I wish these kids had the luxury of worrying about a make believe girl/boy in a video game instead of finding something to eat.

Don't want to sound harsh but I believe that in situations like that, best that it solves itself. Unless we put most of our attention on an issue, it does not do much good.

Exactly.

So if you're so much better, stop buying games and give that money to charity.

I see three titles under your avatar. That's $180 that could have feed those children.

I happy that you have the will to do whatever you feel needs doing but not everyone is like that, some need a encouragement in one way or another. There are different forms of strengths & weakness, everyone has there own & you can't judge people for dealing with things differently to you.

I won't judge how people handle with their real-life problems. Everyone has their baggage and everyone deals with that baggage in their own way.

But kicking up all this drama about a video-game (like the OP does) is just something I can't take very serious. I'm sorry, but that's just how I feel about all this.

if you can't take him serious thats fair enough but people have & always will develop sentimentle attachments to there characters. Too you ME is just a game but to others it's a fantasy, the way I see the OP's veiw is that instead of dreaming up what his perfect woman would be like he's interacting with her on a game.

Everyone has fantasys, even people in happy productive relationships have fantasys, I meen how many people choose to role play as a part of there relationship.

And in addition, while some may worry about finding to eat, others who don't have this problem still have other problems. You can go on with that, almost any human being end up having some kind of problems in his/her life, even if we say it's those typical "first world problems".

So yeah back on topic, while alot of us miss out LIs, our LIs are busy sleeping with Joker.. <_< Speculation is evil.

... or with Tali.

Hmm  Tali sleeping with Tali :wizard: Space magic finally made something magical!

I'm sure she can figure something out with a new induction port or something.

And being the innocent *cough* person she is.. Garrus will have to entertain Joker while she trys to work it out. :wizard:

Hope Joker is flexible. But seriously, I love Tali. I miss her. Can't believe Joker stole her away from me.

Theres only 2 explanations to it!

1) He spiked her Taurian Brandy
2) Space Magic.

I mean theres no way Tali would settle for someone whos more high maintenance then she is :D

Maybe the emergency induction port was a trap. Like the Citadel.

Every time someone seriously uses "First world problems," I want to slap them because they obviously have not studied psychology, or more specifically, Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Just because a need or want is higher up in the chain (like how belonging to a group is higher than food) doesn't mean it's felt any less by the person.

And I can confirm this, me and my girlfriend like to role play sometimes as part of our relationship, it really is fun and can be fullfilling. Although she hasn't yet played any Mass Effect game ... and after that ending I might tell her not to do so at all. Ever.

I agree with you and OP, haters going to hate, but I loved every second of my ME career and felt a connection with everything that was happening. Video games doing what they are supposed to do...allow you to escape reality

Just speaks to how well BioWare create characters. I remember playing DA:O and ALWAYS taking Alistair, Morrigan, and Leliana with me in my party. They were my favorite characters, and I recall thinking, "God, I wish these people existed, they'd be awesome to be around". No other game, ever, has made me think like that. And I've run into some games with some great characters.

It's one of the many reasons why DA:O is my favorite game. To actually miss both the world and the characters of a fictional story after you're done playing is the ultimate high point for an RPG, in my opinion.

Agreed. As for DA:O, the characters were also written very well, I especially liked Morrigan as she was a very unusual character, one like I've never encountered in a video game before. I didn't get as much attached to world and the characters than with Mass Effect, but that might be also because ME is an ongoing trilogy, while DA II has a completely different story and characters than the original game.

yes I agree, if an rpg has done it's job right then the characters are real because you become them for the whole of the time you are playing the game.

I know the feeling.  I want to slap anyone that says something like that, when they have no idea what it means to have nothing.  Not knowing where your next meal will come from and being depressed you can't see your make believe girlfriend  are on different levels.

I couldn't get into DA:O by the time I finished the human noble storyline I felt like I wanted to hang myself lol

The characters were very well writen though I will agree on thatone but I just found the game a bit too depressing for my taste.
