Buy the action figure, tape it to your chest. Your LI will always be close to your heart.

This place is kinda weird. Whatever happened to the old Mass Effect forum? Folk on there were less attached and more rational. These new forums attract some peculiar people. No offence.

There, fixed your post with condescending Wonka.
I appreciate that; I was slacking.
It's perfect now, though

Lol, wat?
You must be new here.
I used to post alot on the old ME1 forums at the start of 2008 .. he's right. There weren't threads with so many pages devoted to LIs. The difference I noticed between then and now is that there are alot more posters and that they can organize with groups now ..

She's not real. Go outside.
People on TV play characters that are not real. It doesn't mean that people don't empathize with them.
In the OPs case, he's feeling empathy for Liara. It's actually a good thing since it means you're human enough to have emotion.
The whole point of a voice actor or an actor in general is to make you believe that everything they're saying, even though it's just in character, is real and legitimate. This is proof that the LI voice actors have done this.
ME was used for people to escape reality, and so now when the ending is similar to the crappier part of reality...people get depressed.
People don't want to feel like this unless there's some form a sweet at the end of it:
**snip**
Needless to say, nothing about the end of this game, except for Stargazer which isn't even a part of the main ending and is a secret stinger scene, is sweet.
She's speculating!

I did, too; however, I just remember them begin more hidden or contained to one thread.

Well BSN is an improvement so everything happens more fluidly now with people having an easier time finding fans of characters or things like say .. Tali .. I remember giving myself a random number ID of her fan club just because I saw it in the sig of another poster.

Replaying the game again experiencing the same dialogue, with the same sad, pointless ending.. gives me a bad stomach.

You really can't. You can act like it for a while but that's about it.
