Tell me about it. XD
I'm doing quite well for myself, as a manchild. Give in to temptation! One of us! One of us! One of us!

Did Shep come with a helmet by the way?
Since I never play with the stock Shep I'd rather have him looking like my own (which won't ever happen) or otherwise with a helmet on so that he could be any Shep.

So, the UPS guy showed up and dropped off a manly squee-worthy box of goodies today.
DC Direct handled the Mass Effect toy line clumsily, and the relationship between they and Bioware was dissolved. Series 2 was never to see the light of day. I have no idea how they secured the rights to the molds, perhaps they had expired? Help me out, someone in marketing. Either way, they partnered up with a company called Big Fish to get the cancelled second series distributed. And I'm glad that they did, because these are fun little toys.
Series 2 consists of Garrus, Mordin, Miranda, and Legion. Right away, it's obvious that the sculpting is substantially better than the first wave. They're DC Direct toys, so the articulation is fairly limited and slightly boring. (back and forward legs, knee bend, shoulder ball joints, wrist rotation, elbows, and ball-jointed heads) Legion's movement is especially limited. It's par for the course with them. That's really the only downside. But, I got these things to display on my desk at work, not to play with in the bath tub while making exploding noises.
The weapons that each toy comes with are very detailed, and beautiful. There were no odd paint errors or nags of that sort on mine, the character likenesses are really spot on (Miranda is a bit iffy), they're fantastic pieces. As far as Mass Effect merch goes, I feel like these are as good as it gets. And while not as large and uber detailed as the Play Arts Kai figures coming out in the fall, these cost about 1/5 as much.
I'd recommend them to any fan.
As for the DLC info, inside each packaging insert is a card with a code that you redeem on this website. Once you've done that, go to your Mass Effect 3 in-game store within the multiplayer component, and for each code entered, you'll see a "Collectible Pack". Mine didn't have any gold cards, the four packs I cashed in gave me in total:
+6 Cobra Missiles
+6 Medi Gel (which I needed)
+2 Disruptor Ammunition II
+ SMG Rail Amp II
+ Power Efficiency Module II
+ Adrenaline Module II
+ Assault Rifle Rail Amp II
+ Warp Ammo II
+ Power Amplification Module II
+ Scimitar Shotgun
+ Raptor Sniper RIfle
+ Phaeston Assault Rifle
+ Locust SMG
So, there you have it. No character cards, and all of my gold card weapons are at X, so all of the weapons I received were silver. I hope everyone that pitched a fit over being "forced" to buy these figures for the DLC codes feels really dumb.
I'll be adding more pictures to the thread, I went ahead and uploaded them to my Deviant Art gallery!

If it helps, feel free to throw them in the OP.Brownfinger wrote...
Yeah, I dunno. Some of their paint color choices were close, just a bit... off. It's a bit more desaturated than my picture makes it appear to be, but yeah.Nwalmenil wrote...

As mentioned above, he certainly does. DJCS posted a picture of Shepard with his helm on in page one. It conceals his "default Shepard" face pretty well, so it should suit your needs.
