I've been geting this for the past two days now. I thought it was because my gold live ran out yesterday and I'm just an xbox silver til i get paid but it let me play on that save all day today but now it won't load and it give me that message every time. When i open the downloadable content on my profile every thing but the memory band is on there but when I sign on to my boyfriends profile its on the list of downloadable content and says its working. I checked the hard drive its on there. And it only effects my rouge city elf. It doesn't effect any of my other characters. I can still load them up and play them and it doesn't effect any of my boyfriends saves. What could this be? We've also been getting the can't load character profile message for about a week also.
Any one else having problems with the memory band not letting your game load?

It's something to do with rights.
Although the file is on your hard drive the rights to use that file aren't.
There is a thread on this forum with info on the problem and ways to fix it.

It's the rights. Go to the xbox site and you can transfer the rights.

From the sound, you have the data but not the license for the Memory Band on your Xbox, which means DA:O needs to contact its servers every time you play to confirm that you're authorized to use it. If that's the case, then you can fix the problem by deleting Promo Item Pack 1 and then downloading the Memory Band directly (which will put Promo Item Pack 1 back on your storage device).
