I found it a while back, seemed like it was pretty much the same as the game. Some stuff was cut, like driving the Mako (I think, not sure).

The full thing isn't that much different from the final product. Most of the things they cut were dialogue, which is a shame, because all of it was better than what made the edit. Of note, there was an actual trial, Joker and Shepard wonder how many times TIM screwed EDI (wtf), EDI puts her reaper tech to actual use, Javik is more than window dressing, Ashley questions her religion, Kaidan has a big blowup and rages at the heavens, Shepard kills the VS's partner, causing the VS to suffer from even more plot-induced stupidity, and there was a VIRMIRE'D II: Electric Boogaloo with Liara.

I can confirm some of it, like Virmired II. Haven't found the rest but it wouldn't surprise me if the rest was true as well really.

That pastebin is not what you're looking for. No one in this thread knows what they are talking about, Random Jerkface especially. The full leak was freaking huge, to the point that it broke word. You had to read it in notepad, and even then you could spend literally days reading the thing and not read it all. It included all the dialogue that eventualy made it in, some cut dialogue that never made it in, along with a comprehenvise list of powers and weapons.

In short, nothing much changed from script to final product, and anyone who claims otherwise is just trolling you.

@Naughty Bear and the rest: Not trolling. I'm kind of sad that they took out the Kaidan scene. It wasn't as if he was frothing at the mouth, but when Shepard goes to talk to him, he becomes agitated by the idea that the reapers are killing billions of people for no discernible reason. Then he yells and drops a couple of F-bombs, IIRC.

He apologises later, though (because he acknowledges he's supposed to be the "normal" one), but I still think it was a nice scene.

Either you haven't actually read the old script yourself, or you just feel like lying today. Everything I mentioned was in there, and yes, I know how extensive the document was. I bloody read it.

EDIT: About Shepard killing the VS' partner: The VS was actually supposed to be a spectre much earlier in the game. Shepard goes to Eden Prime with the other spectre agent (the partner), where they encounter Javik. The partner tries to kill Javik (mistaking him for a Cerberus weapon), and for some contrived reason, Shepard is unable to stop him short of killing him. During the Udina coup, the reason the VS doesn't trust Shepard is that this fact comes to light (with totally awesome vidya evidence). On Thessia, the mistrust comes to a head when Kai Leng manages to (brainwash or willing?) turn the VS against Shepard, and hides explosives in the Temple. When they go off, Shepard is impaled by a beam, and has to crawl to either Liara or the VS...Hence, Electric Boogaloo.

Some of this you can find in that pastebin document (I think), but it was more or less dummied out when it was decided that Javik wouldn't be the Catalyst.

Ghost Kid was originally "The Guardian."

Editedit: And no, I'm not kidding about the TIM/EDI thing. Lord knows I wish I was.

And can I just comment on how much butthurt the amount of cut VS dialogue caused me? My canon run saved Ash, so all Shep got was some drunken rambling splattered on the floor. Kaidan is apparently not much better unless you romance him. It's as if during the editing process they said, "Eh, hospitalise 'em. Oh, they had actual roles and dialogue? NOT THERE DON'T CARE."

EDIT: Oh, and it bears to note that there were actually multiple script leaks, not just one.

...Of course, the ME2 characters always had it bad, far as I can recall. Jack has a few cut lines, Samara wasn't originally going to kill herself, but kill her daughter (this one's a bit hazy). If Shepard chose to stop her, then Samara would request that Shepard fights her to the death. To avoid either, one would have to have enough persuasion points...Shepard would then suggest Falere stay in the monastery, as it's *technically* within the boundaries of the Code. There was a psycho Xen subplot, but I think everyone already knows about that.

Thane originally had multiple ways to die (although he always did die). One was being shot by Udina whilst diving to protect the asari councillor. Another was the one we're familiar with--the altercation with Kai Leng. The last was...he ran himself to death. I'm not even kidding. On the up, that last one had a nice scene in which he attempts to read himself his last rites, but Shepard stops him and does the prayer from memory. When he asks how Shepard knew it, it is revealed that Shepard researched it before the suicide mission, because if Thane hadn't made it "[S/he] had to say something." Kasumi was also involved in the coup (helping Thane, IIRC), but I honestly don't remember how, exactly. Kolyat also had an expanded role; he was actually on Kahje amongst the hanar holymen, and contacts Shepard for a quest (the one involving the greybox, incidentally). It wasn't really clear if you could actually land on the planet, however.

Jacob was always a bastard, so his part in the script was exactly the same (lol). Zaeed was originally in the employ of Cerberus (again), and if you hadn't gained his loyalty in ME2, you would have to fight and kill him. I think Grunt's sidequest was nearly identical, except that there were some actual scenes with Aralakh Company near the end. Miranda's role was more or less verbatim (yes, including those horrendous flirty lines she has with MShep). Both Legion's and not-Legion's parts also played out verbatim, as did Mordin's (aside from some cut dialogue, but it seemed like just ambient lines).

EDIT: It might be because of the bug, but the scene with Matriarch Aethyta played out differently than the script made it seem like it would. It might be an artefact of the pared down dialogue wheel, but it's probably just perception. I dunno.

Editedit:

A/K approaches the Fembot, which has been thrown clear of the blast, and appears inoperative. Suddenly, it reactivates, and severely maims A/K.

I was disappoint at this scene. The way it's written makes it seem far more dramatic. All the VS got was the bash a few times, which was kind of ******.

Small correction: I think it was actually that Shep could convince her to kill her daughter (or Shepard could do it her/himself). If Shepard chose not to convince Samara, then Samara would ask Shepard to partake in her Ultimate Death Battle™ to prevent her from violating her Code (or having to kill her child). Shepard could then use the loophole finagling I mentioned above.

Like Electric Boogaloo, I honestly think this was kind of stupid, so I'm glad it was cut. Not so glad at how under-utilised the characters were.

Even if you hate Liara, you would have hated how the scenario was built up. It sounded frustratingly stupid on paper already, and after seeing how the ideas that sounded good played out on screen, I don't have high hopes as to what the execution would have been.

Found some of the old dialogue archived on someone's blog.

Kaidan: I'm not the best company right now. You might want to leave while you have the chance.
Shepard: What's up?
Kaidan: Nothing. Nothing specifically. Just... everything!I'm ****ing pissed off and I was just looking to blow off some steam in private.
>>> Shepard: I'm listening Kaidan. You can talk to me.
Kaidan: Talking's not going to do anything!
Shepard: Come on. Just breathe for a second.
Kaidan: No, frankly. I want to punch things. It's all so freaking unfair! We didn't do anything to deserve this. People are dying at the whim, the freaking whim, of something evil.
Shepard: Yeah, The Reapers have nothing to do with karma. Feel better?
>>> Shepard: Yeah, that's right. Get it out.
Kaidan: We didn't do anything to the Reapers. We did nothing to incur their wrath. Nothing! Is some kind of payback for the horrific things that we've all done to each other?Do they see us waging war on each other and decide that we all need to die.
Shepard: {exhale through nose -- "You said it"} Yeah.
Kaidan: Well, it's what I need to believe to keep from losing my mind. I need it to make some kind of sense. {Turning to Shepard} But you don't need this. I certainly didn't mean to unload this on you.
>>> Shepard: Next opportunity I order you to take a little time on the Citadel.
Kaidan: I'm fine. I know I'm supposed to be the steadfast one. But every now and then even I gotta blow off steam.
>>> Shepard: I get it. Sometimes you gotta work it out. {pause} I can take it.
Kaidan: I'm glad someone understands.
>>> Shepard: Just make sure that you're getting what you need to keep it together,
Kaidan: What I need is to end this war so that I can get back the life that the Reapers freaking stole from me.
>>> Shepard: Okay, take care. I'll maybe see you later.
Kaidan: Sure. I'll be around.

Ashley: I wasn't sure...well, it's not exactly regulation.
Shepard: I'm curious. Shoot.
Ashley: Laying there in the hospital, I had a lot of time to think. Lots of stuff going on, lots to try and deal with.
Shepard: I understand. I've spent more time in hospitals then my own ship.
Ashley: ...and thanks for coming by. Hospitals always make me nervous. Something about shuffling off our mortal coil, y'know? I couldn't wait to get out of there. I hate hospitals. Hate the smell. Hate the colors. Hate the reminder of...the end, Y'know?
Shepard: You...had a question?
Ashley: Yeah...well, I guess I'll come out and ask; you were dead...weren't you? I mean...really dead. Right?
Shepard: So I heard. I couldn't say for sure, but I think so.
Ashley: {Long pause} What did you see? Bright light? Dark tunnel? Anything?
Shepard: That's a big question, Ash. I'm not sure the answer will be what you're looking for.
Ashley: It is what it is, Shepard. There's no right or wrong.
Shepard: I was wondering when you would come out and ask me. People haven't really asked.
Ashley: That's hard to believe. You died! You saw what's next. How can anyone not be curious about that?
Shepard: All right. I'll tell you what I know. The truth is...I don't remember much.
Ashley: What do you mean?
Shepard: I remember floating after an explosion in the Normandy pushed me out into space. There was a sharp pain in my chest. I couldn't breath but could feel air being leeched from my lungs. I struggled, tried to stop the air from leaking- all pointless...but it doesn't take long before it was all blackness.
Ashley: Did you see anything?
Shepard: I did see a light.
Ashley: Really?
Shepard: It was the Cerberus lab, Ash. Nothing else. I heard voices, muffled for a bit. The next time I woke up, I had to escape the facility.
Ashley: So you don't know.
Shepard: I don't know. I'm sorry.
Ashley: I guess the big question won't get answered today.
Shepard: I'm afraid not.
Ashley: Well, crap. You failed as my life-after-death inside source.
Shepard: I could dance for you.
Ashley: Please don't.
* Shepard: To tell the truth, I don't remember anything.
Ashley: Nothing at all?
Shepard: Even with my experience, I don't think I should be answering questions about your beliefs. When I realized what had happened. What Cerberus had done to bring me back...I panicked. I shut down. I pushed the fear away just long enough to deal with the Collectors...but it didn't stay away. The time alone in Alliance lock-up I had to confront what I was.
Ashley: What are you afraid of?
Shepard: Ash, I don't know if I died and came back...or simply died.
Ashley: What do you mean?
Shepard: I don't know if this is the Shepard you knew, or some incomplete copy. I don't know.
Ashley: Does it matter?

Some of these multiple response formats make me suspect even more that auto-dialogue wasn't originally going to be the game's staple.
