I would trade this excellent multiplayer for a good fleshed out story and ending any day.

I agree that it makes the opening a lot stronger if you've done Arrival.IsaacShep wrote...
Thanks. Was curious since I thought Arrival was going to be made 100% canon, that even if you didn't play it the game would say that your Shepard did blew up Alpha Relay. Nice to know it's actually not canon for your Shep and they did the same thing they did with LOTSB. Even though the intro is obviously suited for Arriva-playing-Shep of course lol, since it's kinda silly how Alliance only now cares that you worked with Cerberus. ALthough I do remember some dossiers talking how everyone in the Alliance except for Hackett and Anderson wants to prosecute Shep for Cerberus thing
I personally can't play without an Arrival import, as they provide no real foundation for you being detained or for starting the game with everybody treating you like a criminal. It just doesn't work for me without the Hackett conversation in Arrival and the small bit that Anderson says in the beginning sequence.

TBH, I can't imagine playing this game without all imports at all. It was somehow possible with ME2 because then it was just 1 game worth of content/lore/exposure/Shepard's actions missins and there's of course also Genesis for quick catch-up. But ME3? It's such a heavy load of lore and past events it must be just confusing for anyone who didn't play at least ME2 (WITH Genesis). IMO, they should've never bothered with trying to make ME3 "noobie-friendly". It only created more problems and probably was one of the reason for the amount of autodialogue since noobie-friendly lines increased the line count even further that could've been used on more dialogue optionsdevSin wrote...

Also, I don't see this happening with the Batarians for obvious reasons after Arrival being the first to be attacked by the Reapers and having lost almost everything.

Y'all gettin' trolled, yo.
Everyone noticed that after the first post.
Your point? Oh right, you didn't have one. Seriously, there are about 6 other "he's trolling" posts before mine. Why nitpick and whine about the one I posted? That's a rhetorical question, by the way. Definition provided in case of further derpery.
Why so serious?

Nah, just kidding.
Yeah, this looks like something that might have been an early concept (esp when Arrival came out), but didn't make it much past that stage of development. People are too quick to condemn BioWare for something these days...good to see other Retakers being chill about this. ;D

The Batarians were never suppose to become nearly extinct. That was just the easy way out they took. They were suppose to have gone to war before the reapers showed up, and then gone on the defensive when the reapers finally did show up.Sousabird wrote...
Hmm your government collapsed and most of your people are dead, refugees or in a ramshackled fleet, now instead of fighting the race of spaceships that blasted your homeworld to hell, your gonna pick a fight with Earth which has a stronger military and more support from the other races, and if you did somehow win... you'd get killed by reapers... yeh that makes sense
The Reapers would also enter through an entirely different less populated area of the galaxy and spread out from there.
It also said that the batarians preparing for the war with humanity helped them immensly when the Reapers showed up, because they bought space station with huge canons and gaurded their relays closely. They also instituted a draft in their colonies and hired large mercenary factions.
Sorry to anyone who thouhgt I was trolling! I wasnt at my computer for awhile.
I meant to say game informer magazine! Its from like 2011, I was looking through it to see some promises that were just straight up lies and stumbled upon this.
