Well another day without play. I go to play ME3 and it checks for downloadable content and then checks saved data, but then goes back to checking downloadable content in an infinite loop. I even went and cleared the system cache on my 250 gb hdd and still same thing just sits there with the loading icon bottom right.

Is this game not made for the original 360 or what?  Do I need to buy a kinect sensor for it to work properly?  Are you guys testing this on the original 360 models?

I like my original 360 I can remove the faceplate and that on it. Not about to go out and buy a new 360 slim just for this game.

Well if it makes you feel better the problem occurs with the 360 Slim as well.

If you haven't already, be sure to check the thread stickied to the top of the page about the connection issues. Mr. Abram is looking for feedback from people experiencing this issue...who knows, your feedback could be the saving grace!

As a tip/question, do you have the Auto Login option enabled or disabled? If it's off, try clearing the cache, refuse the update when you start ME3, and turn it on. Then, exit the game and when you restart it, let the patch go through.

This is what I did, and it seems to work. Granted it should work with this feature off, but if it works for you then at least you can play until they fix the issue.

I never had this issue until EA came out with that ******* patch. I did not have the face import problem or anything and now the endless loop. I actually had a work-a-round that allowed me to resume and then exit out back to the main menu. That no longer works. I have tried your suggest tsai, but that does not work either. If EA puts out a patch, they need to test it better (yes, and EA, if you are looking at this, I mean you. I am not criticizing or anything, it just I would like to enjoy the game you guys made instead of getting lucking and finally connecting. Please fix...)

Yes I'm still having the problem
http://social.biowar.../index/11353924

But Thomas PMd me yesterday asking about it and details, so I guess they're doing something!

I hope.

For now I'm doing the method others here told me, start game OFFline, then reconnect once you load up main menu. works every time. I just feel stupid lol. Like that Krogan seeking a combustion manifold.

You got a PM regarding this? At least that's something.

I did try starting a new ME3 game with my Shepard. Face was . . . repairable. Not super attached to some exact likeness anyway.

So far the only way I can get it to authenticate is to physically disconnect the 360. A bit of a pain.

I did try the cache clear (again) and setting the auto-login to on; no effect.
It still hangs on the second DLC check.

As it stands, at least ME3 is PLAYABLE again. And I did get to try out multiplayer.

The face thing doesn't bother at all compared to the more severe problems we've seen, as I'm part of the wonderful Black Screen group lol.

Thankfully the editor allows you to make edits. I imported from ME2, and anything I wanted to change, like a new hairstyle/color, eyes. Those were the ones I mostly changed for myself.

I was having this is same issue for about a week, however I started the game offline and turned the EA Automatic Connection Option back On and the problem was gone, however the reason I had changed that in the first place was because of this other problem "Achievement Progress Reset (In my case kill-count reset)", so it's clear that these are two conflicting problems, at this point I really hope that tomorrow's "big patch" fixes these two annoying and frustrating issues.

Come on BioWare you can do it!

So if you don't want the game to connect to Origin on start-up, you won't be able to play it... nice.

 try this
  • disconnect your system from the internet
  • turn your system on
  • go to the online settings
  • make sure they are both set to on
problem should be fixed (worked for me)

I don't want the game to auto connect to EA. I shouldn't be forced to do that!

for the moment you do not have a choice (I do not think that reporting game data to EA is required to fix the glitch, but you might as well just to be safe)

I'm pretty sure it is. Turn it on, and the game works as it should, turn it off, and the game gets stuck in an endless "Checking DLC" loop.

there are two different settings the top one does not need to be on but the bottom one does.
