Ive always played melee at the start.. time for a change

Yeah i'm the same and i had thought that untill i watched the 20 minute play thru vid and saw how brutal combat can be at the start and i remember how squish mages can be especially if you haven't properly grasped the tactics and workings of combat. So it's Human Noble Warrior to get the feel for combat.

Halfling Cleric :P
*dodges thrown rocks*

Seriously though, human warrior.  I usually always played elves and/or wizard types in previous games, but I'm looking forward to the new combat styles of DA:O.

To that question i ask you if you want to be mostly accepted where ever you go or rarely accepted where ever you go?

Dwarf. Don't know about which origin yet but it will be a sword(well axe hopefully) and board tanker character for sure.

I will be playing the human noble warrior first. It sounds like the most survivable and easiest to roleplay for a new player. Of course, the plan would've worked better if the game had a CHARISMA attribute... but I reckon I can get by on a little Cunning and a lot of charm.

Gah... Still indecisive... Still considering Human Noble, Dwarven Noble, or Dwarven Commoner.

Female Dwarven Noble, rogue. I just wish I could pick up Dog sooner as a dwarf, or at least an adorably fuzzy giant cave spider. :D

For some reason i think it would be apt to see a dwarf walking around with an inflatable sheep??? = /

Dalish elf, rogue. It kind of bummed me out at first that I couldn't be a Dalish Elf mage, but I understand why I couldn't be. ^__^ At least in this game.

Yeah, the explaination for that is a very good one. Which it would have to be as all mages would find the same type of discrimination from certain people no matter their race (altho obviously elven mages would get it worse).

I do not believe specializations are restricted by race :)

Definitely a rogue dalish elf though I am still unsure on what specialization I would want to take (if any).

Well, I was set on a Dalish elf, but my human noble came out looking way cuter. So I dunno.

Oh you've gotta play the cuter one first. ;)

I no rite!?

I no rite? I know right!? Ah the new in phrase. I hear 10 year olds using it even now.
