You know what, I'm getting over it...

But you know what? Such is life. I'm sure the Bioware team poured their souls into making ME3 within budget and time constraints. For whatever reason, they totally screwed the pooch on the ending. And yeah, they totally overpromised and underdelivered - this isn't the first nor last time this will happen to me.
I forgive them, and I'm just about ready to move on. I may give the game another chance whenever the DLC comes out - for that reason, I won't be selling ME3 (In between playing Witcher 2, I may even try the MP once or twice). But if I do, I won't be furious if I still hate the ending (which, honestly, most of us are pretty sure we're going to hate the DLC ending as the parameters are already set). Its like rooting for bad sports teams in a way - if you really don't care about them losing any more, you just won't enjoy it as much when they finally win. That's sort of where I am. I'm dropping the emotion and moving on.
So Best of luck to all those who work at Bioware in your future endeavors. I may not be there any more for your games (or who knows, perhaps fan reviews for Dragon Age 3 will prompt me to buy it!), but I do wish you all well.

It's just sad. The endings have killed something special.

I've gotten over how terrible the ending is. I've been playing Skyrim to take the edge off, and it's done wonders. I'll always remember how great Mass Effect was for the first two games, and how it fell flat on it's face in the final minutes. In fact, if not for Tuchanka and Rannoch, I would consider ME3 to be my least favorite game of the series. I don't know, it still might be.
I'll get the Extended Cut when it comes out and make any final decisions there. This is BioWare's chance to save their franchise. If it's still not done right, well... I'll try to remember the good things about Mass Effect.
Perhaps the most tragic part (at least for me) is that BioWare lost my trust. I bought blindly from them because I knew I could always count on them to make really great games. While I did not like Dragon Age II, I forgave them for it because I thought Mass Effect 3 would make up for it. Sadly, I can't say that it did...
I'm not saying that I'll never purchase another BioWare game again. I don't know what they'll come up with in the future, but I'll certainly never pre-order a game from them again. I've learned that reading a few fan reviews beforehand can make all the difference in the world.

I managed to miss out on DA2 because it sounded rushed and dumbed down from DAO. They did the same thing again with ME3 it seems. Given that I will definately not be buying from them unless I read glowing fan reviews about a new title.
One useful thing I have learned from this whole sorry business it to basically ignore the professional critic reviews. I have to wonder if any of them played the same game that I did..
Check out: www.metacritic.com/game/pc/mass-effect-3 for an example of the review disconnect..

Roughly the same spot on my end. ME was a good series, ME3 fell flat, and now BioWare has lost my trust as a consumer.
Not planning on buying any DLC or any other BioWare products unless they find a way to win my trust back. And I'm perfectly fine throwing my money at studios that have done RPGs right (looking at you CD Projekt).

Everything feels ... hopeless. After getting kicked in the teeth at Thessia, I would like to think, "here's the lowest point of the game, but it gets better..." and it just doesn't.
And no, I'm not talking about my Shep's (possible) death. I'm talking about how cliched and nonsensical StarChild is, and how the "closure" is nothing more than a vague cut scene that wreaks of time/budget constraints.
It hangs over the head of ME3 like a rain cloud, and it does not get any better on another run.

I'm on my second playthrough as well. I've just completed Horizon but I can't bring myself to continue. Knowing what lies at the end just kills it for me.

I'm actually replaying Witcher on the PC in prep for Witcher 2 (I'm in the 3rd chapter now). This also helps - thinking about a cool upcoming game.
And yeah, I stopped relying on gamer site reviews a while ago, but ME3 totally crystalizes this, doesn't it? 75 perfect scores with an ending that blew that bad (most likely most of those didn't finish the game)? In 10 years, every one of those reviewers will be comiserating in their reviews about how bad the ME3 ending was.
But again, I no longer hold bad feelings for Bioware. I didn't get what I wanted or expected here, but in the grand scheme of things, this is far less worse than expecting a wonderful meal only to get temporary food poisening. I certainly felt sick to my stomach after seeing the ending, but at least I didn't expire stuff out of both ends!

Skyrim nursed me through the worst times. Raising Belethor as my undead thrall then killing him over and over again has really been cathartic. Chicken soup for the soul, that is.
Amen to that. After the ME3 ending, I went back and played Skyrim and it was like falling in love with that game all over again <3

Me too. I actually started my second favorite play through of an ME1/ME2 character, but just sort of lost my desire to play. As much as I enjoyed the actual game play, I knew where it was leading, and really, for whatever reason just haven't wanted to go back. I even played the MP for no particular reason instead of going back to my second play through.
