I reject BW's canon and simply take what others have already created, which far exceeds anything that happened in the BW ending in both quality and quantity...and enjoy the remaining 95% of the game (and, of course, ME2, which, in my opinion, is almost superior to ME3).

Yeah, the Mass Effect series was absolutely awesome, one of the best ever.
But you know what? Such is life. I'm sure the Bioware team poured their souls into making ME3 within budget and time constraints
.... I'm just about ready to move on. I may give the game another chance whenever the DLC comes out - for that reason, I won't be selling ME3
I'm dropping the emotion and moving on.
So Best of luck to all those who work at Bioware in your future endeavors. I may not be there any more for your games (or who knows, perhaps fan reviews for Dragon Age 3 will prompt me to buy it!), but I do wish you all well.
Good for you. It's nice to hear someone who acknowledges reality and their place. I'm sure you'll be back because DA3 is sounding very good if they put in half of what I'm hearing and seeing on it.
Yea, cause DA2 and ME3 had all that was promised and seen in them.... oh wait.....

I might be back for DA3, just because I love RPGs, and really dug the first DA after they fixed the killer bugs. But in all honesty, Skyrim is soooo much better than anything from Dragon Age. I passed on DA2 due to the bad user reviews and more due to the fact that it apparently all takes place in like the same 5 rooms. There were just better options available for me. So DA3 is by no means a sure thing, and in terms of it "sounding good?" That may convince you, but I think Bioware will find that many of us no longer listen to their PR machine. User reviews - that's what will convince me to buy if I ever do.

So sad because it's so true, I to was a huge Bioware fan until I saw that bullsh** they called an ending. Now that they've shattered my very soul with this bull**** I'll never be a fan again, my faith in Bioware is forever gone. My loyalty to Bioware had faded & no matter how many free DLC's they release they can never mend my broken heart.
The Bioware I fell in love with has gone, I've excepted that but it doesn't stop the pain & it never will. Even if there so called "clarification" DLC fix's the ending the bitter taste will still be there for me as will the pain. I can never look at the name Bioware in the same way ever again after this & I won't be giving them the option of doing this to me again.
Lets be honest. Its pretty amazing that a gaming company could ever spark these kinds of feelings. The other day as I was looking for my Witcher disc, I came upon my original Baldur's Gate copy. And then the Throne of Bhaal disc. And then Icewind Dale and Neverwinter Nights. Seriously, these guys have produced some amazing products. Its no secret why they had the loyalty they did.
This too shall pass.
Interestingly, in looking at the back of my Icewind Dale CD, in bold letters across the bottom is the phrase, "A Stand Alone Product." Definitely produced in the time before DLCs....what a good time that was in many ways.
For me it will never pass, when you loose a loved one the pain you feel never go's away, you just learn to live with it. For me it will be this way, the pain of it all will always be there I'll just learn to live with it as time go's on.
comparing a video game ending to losing a loved one? comparing a piece of software to a human being you loved and passed away? okay.......... good luck in life

And you'll get another one starting tomorrow - Witcher 2!!!
And yeah, there's nothing like the thrill of running at night, looking at those awesome northern lights, and all of a sudden hear that Dragon Roar rumble through the surround sound system!!!! Skyrim is truly awesome personified!

I meant it more as just ignoring all the bad about the series and focusing only on what was good. Granted, the first Highlander is about the ONLY good thing out of everything else, whereas Mass Effect had a lot more going for it with 2 30-40+ hour games.
Heck, all the fan-editted endings are reminiscent of all the various Highlander 2 fan-editted movies. While they weren't good, they were still better than the original.
You could make the argument that ME3's ending is the Highlander 2 of our generation.

So you're comparing losing a loved one to a video game?
That is so beyond ridiculous that I have no proper word for it. It's a game, a piece of software. It does not even compare to a human life. And for you to say it does, that you will mourn it like you do someone real...
You need to step back and re-evaluate what's important, I'm sorry. But this is not good, at all.

But at least Highlander 2 showed you pretty early on what a complete and utter mess it was. Mass Effect 3 strings you along, sprinkling in lots of awesomeness along the way...right up until the ending...

Mass effect was such an awesome series I won't let the end ruin it for me either. I had a lot of hate for the end but I've never been one to hold on to it. I've decided to do another play through and I'll just turn it off as Anderson and Shepard look out over the battle. Perfect.
That is really the right place for the ending. I'm not happy with the ending but that 10 minute cutscene isn't taking down the other 45 hours that really are as close to perfect as I could want it to be.
