Do you guys want mass effect 3 to be the game of the year ?

The ending is the worst part sure, but there are plenty of huge flaws with the game as a whole which left it massively disappointing and in many ways a technical failiure, so no, I really don't think it should be on anyone's Game of the Year list.

Anyway. No, this does not deserve GOTY.

EA was already the worst company of america.
I know that's an opinion and all, and I am also frustrated with EA more often than not. That being said, worst company in America? Like of all the companies in America? I can surely think of a number that are far worse in my opinion.
That being said, at current I do not believe it should be game of the year. I also have taken a break from playing cause I feel disconnected from my Shep. After I finally complete the game i'll have a more definite opnion on the matter. Just my .02

Actually it's a fact that EA was recently voted the worst company in America. "Worst" is ultimately an opinion of course, but it's an opinion shared by most of the people who voted.

What is with all the crap about first day DLC? Almost every big budget game now days for the last few years comes with first day DLC. Hell, even Dragon Age: Origins had first day DLC. Anyway, enough about that! I got Collector's Edition anyway so...
I don't care about $10 either. I don't like it, but I can see why EA does it. Yeah, they got my money. I know all about Javik.

not only for the bad ending they gave us, but because they lied to us about our choices matter.
the day 1 DLC and forced origin.

Mass Effect 3 has kind of made me personally despondent and crestfallen. I find solace in all the memes and jokes that have evolved in response to the endings, but the truth is that one of my favorite series just kind of fell apart before my very eyes. A few months ago, I would have been shocked to hear myself say so, but there you go.
I don't wish the folks at BioWare ill, and I know they worked hard on the game, but on a purely personal level, no, I don't want a game that made me so miserable to win GOTY.

The Darkness 2 is already out of the running with how it turned out.

Potentially. It will depend largely on how Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4, and the Witcher 2 turn out. I'm curious, to say the least.
All else equal, you have a 20% chance, Il Divo...

every game gets bad reviews, but mass effect 3 even made it to public newspapers. hell, even here in the netherlands i saw an article about the bad reviews of mass effect 3. it will never turn goty.
for real goty games, skyrim, deus ex: human revolution, anno 2070, sins of a solar empire, total war: shogun 2, bioshock.
for upcoming games, Metro: Last night, Bioshock Infinite, Ghost warrior 2, modern warfare: Black Ops 2 *they promised not to screw up pc version this time*, Borderlands 2, tom clancy's ghost recon, far cry 3.
my personal bet will be on DUST 514, the game that will rewrite history, by linking together with another game, making actions in 1 game take place in another game and visa versa. you can compare DUST 514 with a combo halo/gears of war, exept that its linked with a game called EVE: Online, a space game, where spaceships can shoot down the planet you are fighting on, or shoot them out of the sky from DUST.
