It has been checking downloadable content.... loading for the past HOUR.+
I had it set so you had to manually connect to EA servers
Has worked well like that for the past week.
was playing multi last night till midnight.
I was able to hit "Y" to connect to EA servers. so I am currently connected to the server.
this does not sit well with me at all for what will happen possibly in the future...
how long is it supposed to "checking for Downloadable Content" "loading" MIne's at 1hr

There's another thread on here I posted about this on. Apparently the game has a hang up at "Checking For DLC" phase if you don't have it set to connect automatically.

more details well I can change what appears on that little computer thing by hitting LB and RB on the controller
OH it's been doing this for 1 hour+ already if you hadn't read that part
oh how do you report issues that need attention.
totally unrelated note

Found a fix
-Clear system cache
-When game starts up do not download patch
-This will allow you to go past "Checking DLC" and your menu to work
-Enable auto-connect to EA servers (Switch setting to ON in the options)
-WHILE AT THE MAIN MENU sign into XBox Live
-Download the patch
-The game will re-start and you should be good to go.

an update...
Have not cleared system cache !
after an hour and a half of "checking Download content" I dashboarded.
Waited for a bit treid again.
This time it got past the check for Dlc but EA servers were unavailable,
dashboard and turn off console.
wait about 30 sec. turn back on. when signed in it a message poped up saying some Xboxlive content was temporaly unavailable.
restart console that popup reappears.
so then I continued to mass effect 3 ...pressed start it worked like normal. it did it's check for dlc then I signed into EA servers. it all worked... then went on and played some multi for 3 hours...
So for those of you that don't want to do a bunch of steps: try restarting your console a couple times. it might work.

um did you read your link or anything contained within and anything from these posts above?
it's a completely different issue than connecting to Ea servers.
I was able to connect to EA servers but it was "checking Downlod content" for well over an 1 1/2 hours
until I gave up and tried to fix it... see above
that is in no way any where near connected to the content contained in your link.
sincerly {Insert my name}
Edit for bad spelling

I had a funny one today... Went to start a mission in single player (The Benning Extraction Mission) and after I chose my squad, equipment and powers it showed the loading screen of the shuttle zooming over a brown landscape... and showed it... and showed it... loading, loading, loading.
So I thought "Damn, must have crashed the Xbox" but when I hit the Guide Button to check, it worked fine. So I then thought "Hmmmm it's probably stuck like the 'Checking for Downloadable Content' or when the Armour Locker continues loading the various Armour outfits but takes ages to do so.... so I left it running.
Then I went to the loo, finished there, answered my front door (to some Jehovah's Witlesses) and then came back after about 40 mins (had forgot about ME3 being left running) and the damned shuttle is STILL zooming across the landscape (but dimmed of course).
This game is pretty bad, stability wise, considering Bioware's previous games. Bioware really need to take away any bonuses that the QA department got because this game has the worst set of bugs/glitches etc I have EVER seen on the Xbox (and I have played quite a few games).
It's not the amount of bugs but the severity of them that make it the worst.
tl:dr - Bioware sucks, too many serious bugs in ME3.
