Sorry, if something similar is already posted...couldn't find it.

I have heard alot of different ideas about the relationship between Morrigan and Flemith, and why Morrigan is really asked to go with the Grey Wardens.

My theory is that, as Morrigan says at the end of the game, that she was sent by Flemith for this sole purpose (basically to be knocked up by a Grey Warden). She seems to say this weither you give her the grimoire and kill flemith or not. I believe that Flemith really was preping Morrigan for "the ritual", but if Morrigan had a baby...especially one that was an old god...then Flemith would have a child already when she took over Morrigan.
I hated Morrigan because of the ritual my first playthrough, but in my second one when I did accept her offer, I realized that from her expression and tone of voice...and that she said that it was the least she could do. I think that she decided to continue on with it not entirely for selfish reasons. Of course, as much as I a little bit warry of this child...I still can't help but fear for it a little too. Especially since MAYBE after all of this Morrigan will become like Flemith...after all she has both grimoires now.

Heh, okay, maybe I have been playing this game too much or maybe because its early in the morning.

But I would like to hear if anyone else has any ideas or thoughts on what is going on with these two.

Lol I feel the exact same way, first play through I declined the offer and second I thought about it and took it (and felt a lot better since I wouldn't be dying this time) I think her purpose was to get knocked up because when flemeth tells Morrigan to go with us she says "But mother, I am not ready" May be I am reading too much into this but it seemed like they (Morrigan and Flemeth) had talked about this previously.

What really bugs me is when Morrigan says (during her proposal) "Did you not wonder why Mother saved you from the tower?" I was like "I did wonder you **** and I even asked but you witches kept lying to my face"

either way we will find out soon I hope =D
