Wouldnt it be far more productive to just reply to as many threads and vaguely tie in your movement if Bioware is just going to keep locking the thread (and one can only wonder how much longer till they start banning)

That is one way to get the message out and we do spread the word this way as well, but it's nice to have one place where members can come together and share.

Sorry thought you guys had forums that weren't policed by Bioware that would give you the freedom to say whatever you want without the fear of bans stifling getting the word out. Don't get me wrong depending on EC i may or may not support you, its just why risk the ban to have a place to gather when you already do?

We just got a website up and running, but this is where the movement started. I'm holding out hope for the extended cut as well, but I'm also watching Bioware and EA's every move. This is a delicate time, and for all their talk of listening, they seem to be more focused on silencing.

This is going to get locked again and someone is probably going to get banned this time

It's a shame, but this will happen, sorry

If so, so be it.

I leave with a clear consience.

You might want to change your signature a bit Mastermadskills. I doubt Bioware will react well to seeing just how much damage you (and everyone else in the movement) are causing.

As much as I think they will lock this one again, I'm here showing my support. HOLD THE WALLET!

EA and Bioware... THIS HURTS YOU(r wallet).

I was told by a mod that he would NOT lock the thread if sufficiently restructured.

And thus, it has been restructured!

I'm just pointing this out, but while one moderator may allow a thread to stay open, another may close the exact same thread for a reason a fellow moderator may have failed to acknowledge or accidentally ignored.

Failded this thread is. Into exile you must go.

800 members is no failure.

I disagree. In my opinion the odds of all 800 people standing by and commiting to any mission statement, your group claims to have, are pretty low. Also, when you factor in that only the portion of the games players (a very small portion) who visit the forums are going to join (and not all of them will) you realise that your numbers airn't very impressive.

  • We feel lied to.  Stop it.  It makes us mad.
  • We would like a complete re-make of the ENTIRE ending, and not simply elaborations on the current.
  • We feel our feedback is being ignored.
  • We feel our questions aren't being addressed adequately.
  • We are, overall, disattisfied with the handling of Public Relations with the Fanbase.  We feel insulted.
  • We want to see a change back to the OLD type of Bioware that avoided these types of issues.  We know it can be done!
  • We are consumers, and we would like to purchase QUALITY products.
  • We are SKEPTICAL about the integrity of Bioware, and want to see this fixed!
If you give us what we want, we WILL give you money!

Just some typos.

The overall consumer disatisfaction is at the root of the recent EA stocks plunge and developer lay-offs.

The above is proof that people agree with the premise of the reformed movement, members of it or not.

They will be fixed in due time.  I'm currently multitasking 11ty things at once.

I disagree (though I admit this is just a personal viewpoint). I feel that I have achieved something impressive if I were the only one in this movement. The fact that i'm willing to put my foot down and say that enough is enough is a big accomplishment for me (considering that prior to this I would have gladly bought everything Bioware released.) The fact that there are 800 others who agree with me is great.

Like, it's cool doing the consumer advocate thing and all, but... are there no better, more constructive ways to vent? Are there no larger companies more worthy of your attention? Have they personally violated some ethical standard or have, in some meaningful way, detrimentally impacted your lives?

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but I urge you to expand your operations and target companies who have offended human rights or engaged in serious labor violations. BioWare and Mass Effect 3 is likely not the cause of your anger.

Hmmmm.

EA HAS been involved in labor violations and the such, but this isn't the focus of the restructured movement.

We just want them to make better games and stop with the nonsense.  Simple.

So you encourage people to boycott BioWare/EA products? The potential revenue they don't get will then prompt EA to expand BioWare's staff and available resources, ensuring better games are developed at a faster rate than before? Isn't it more likely more constraints would be added, additional layoffs rendered, greater executive control over game content, shorter development cycles, and even more microtransactions? You want BioWare to be less competitive in a highly competitive industry, spend time and resources on constructing an entirely new ending (that must pass your standards without incident), constantly monitor and engage in community forum topics, and for them to completely abandon trying to market their games?

Oh great, this again. Also there we lots of "we" in that mission statement, can't you change that to "our members" because you know, you don't speak for everyone on here.

Nope.

We have reformed.

We do NOT encourage people to boycott BioWare/EA Products.  You would know this if you read the main thread.

Are you guys serious?

This is freaking ridiculous, abandoning or insulting BioWare won't get you a damn thing.

Do something constructive to promote better endings.

Yes.  We are serious.  All 836 of us.

We want them to make quality things without the grievances outlined.  Then we buy it.

Simple!

Of course not. But what part of "Hold the Wallet" doesn't encourage a boycott? You're not exactly subtle there. "We don't say it; we just imply it." With propagandist speech? I'm not quite sure what to make of you guys yet...

I had a full reply to you sammy a good one too but I don't think I'll have enough time to type it before the post is locked again. So i'll just settle with a "Get over yourself you useless fanboy" And you don't "Love" mass effect if you're not willing to look at it's mistakes and request for a better idea of what it can be.

If you were locked twice... why would you post again? It has been made very clear that this isn't the venue for protesting.

Inb4lock.

As soon as Priestly or one of the mods see this, it's going to be locked.

That said, if you guys aren't too concerned about being banned from Origin and possibly sued if you get organized, you could just keep reposting it despite BioWare's objection, which would definitely be a powerful statement.
