How about, instead of just posting: Bump, or +1 or whatever... People list a single reason why they hold the wallet?

As the leader of this movement, I pass and ratify this motion.

Wow.  Just... wow. Pretty sure you won't find that phrase in Robert's Rules of Order.

All trolling, name calling, and other such behavior is unacceptable in my thread.

Er... no.  It doesn't work like that.  We're moderators, not mercenaries.

Look... to be totally blunt, it doesn't really matter what the original intent of this thread is... it is adding precious little to the ongoing discussion of Mass Effect 3.  Instead we have a bizzare gavotte between the OP, his supporters, and his detractors.

So, is anyone going to discuss the *game* in this thread?  Or should I close it?

p.s.  And before everyone starts shouting, I don't work for Bioware/EA, and I don't benefit or suffer one iota if they never make another dollar.

I meant only to calm people down.  I (and everyone else in the leadership) will follow your direction happily.  Thank you for posting a response.

As for my writing style, it was meant to be taken with humor.

Well, about the game did anyone play this weekend? I did for about 2 hours in MP, and I have to say the new weapons are weak sauce. I also notice people haven't learned to use the wave 11 timer. They keep rushing to the pick-up point only to be bummed rushed to death. Kinda sucked for them. I lived tho so :D

Meh no one thought moderators of forums worked for the gaming company it's common knowledge that they're hired from an outside company. Least I think they are. Probably too much money to do it inwardly. world goes on. Thread died down considerably anyway. Oh well was nice while it lasted.

Nope.  Completely a volunteer.  Teach university courses and working on a long-delayed graduate degree in the real world.  I even have to buy my own copies of the game.  Usually spend most of my time helping folks in the Dragon Age: Origins PC Tech Forum.

If you see "Moderator" above their pic, they're volunteers.  If you see "Bioware", they're paid staff.

EDIT: Corrected a homonym problem.  It's getting late...

That happens around 1:00 - 5:00.

We'll be back when we wake up.

HOPEFULLY everyone will drop the trolling by then. ;)

While this forums isn't particularly for multiplayer I love it and have to agree.  New weapons aren't all that great; Harpoon gun isn't much of an upgrade from other sniper rifles, and the Striker doesn't do nearly enough damage.  Striker is good for support, if your near an ammo crate.

The new classes, however, woo-boy.  Good job on those, amazing.  Asari Justicar is amazing.

If you could go back in your playthroughs and do one thing differently in your shepards story, what would it be?

Please refrain from sarcastically replying like, "I would have not gotten to the endings" as this would be unproductive.

This topic now has discussions about the games story and campaign.

I would skip the conversation that leads to Conrad Verner getting killed entirely.

Dude is awesome.

Agreed as well, though I play a batarian. The sentinal is a great support/brawler class, and is used well either acting as a sniper and freezing targets with the net, or going in on the frontline and helping to take pressure off the snipers in other areas.

Also, the soliders are good and the balisitc blades remind me of the chakram launcher, very useful against armored targets.

The one thing in my paragon playthough I would have done differently was hang up on the council's calls all the time, those were great and had me laughing for minutes at a time.

"Do you think this is some kind of game shepard? Did you call us just so you could hang up on us?"

"You know it." B)

this thread should be locked and removed.  it in no way shape or form discusses the game Mass Effect 3 or any part thereof.

this thread and its writer both, in fact, promote a passive-aggressive attack (as in, indirect but with the intention of causing harm) on the company name listed at the top of this website (namely BioWare).  continued support of this thread could be construed as an attack on BioWare and the offender banned from BioWare Social Network for violation of the SR&COC listed above.

it's not an attack?  think again.  you are attempting to affect the financial stability of a corporation.  it may not be physical damage, but it is still an attack.

I disagree, but I withhold further comment.

I will likewise place you on ignore so neither of us has any ability whatsoever to aggrivate the other as a sign that I do not want to fight.

Have a pleasant evening sir.  I hold no ill will towards you or anyone else.  I and those in my movement only fight to regain a better direction for our beloved game.

Good night, everyone.

actually, this thread is not about multiplayer.  and if it is about multiplayer, it should be moved to the multiplayer room.  multiplayer was brought only after a moderator pointed out that this thread was not discussing Mass Effect 3.

this thread is about attempting to hurt BioWare.  attempt to hurt = attack.

keep bringing up my name, it's still encouraging me.

Nothing, every choice I made was the right decision for my Shepherd, even the ones that came back on me later are things I could see him doing no other way.

The only thing I would have him do differently is refuse to participate in the demon child's game, but since that is not an option I am happy with every decision I was allowed to make.

Good night, everyone.

wow...  so by boycotting the company making the game, you are making the game stronger...

wait, what?

so...  by taking money away from the company, you are reducing the budget from which further games will have to be designed with.

this makes Mass Effect 3 better....  how?

honestly, this sounds kind of like the circular logic used in the ending.

face it - this thread is your vague attempt at threatening BioWare.  they don't care.  even if there are 1,000 of you, there are millions more waiting for their next game.  all they need to do is adjust their marketing a little bit and you won't even care, and they'll pick up 1,000 fans elsewhere.

btw...  telling me that you are going to put me on ignore tells me that you are really annoyed with me.  if you were actually arguing rationally, you wouldn't bother telling me - you would just ignore me and let me embarass myself.  by announcing to the world that you are ignoring me, you are simply denying the logic of my argument - that this thread is a pointless, baseless threat against a company that you are willing to discard over 5 minutes of video.

my signature - the banner at the bottom argues my point - i love the game too.  i was disappointed by the ending.

my argument here is that this has nothing to do with the game and directly conflicts with the interests of the company running and maintaining these forums.  they have every right to lock/remove threads and people like you.
