Back to gameplay:  If the ending extention doesn't resolve your personal feelings of the ending problems, what will you do?

The same as I have been, loan out my copies of ME2 & 3 to anyone who has a PS3 and is interested in them. I never loaned out ME2 as I thought it was a game everyone should own, ME1 was on PC so it wasn't really an option to loan out, but after finishing ME3 I can't recommend anyone spend the money buying games to have the whole experience ruined in the end.

Verner was mentioned earlier, that was a PS3 tick off for me (along with Kirrahe being presumed dead), he was not in ME2 or 3 because the Cerberus Pack didn't include it in the options for going over your choices in ME1 and there's no way to import a PC save to PS3.

As for playing ME3 lately, can't say that I have, once I finished playing I spent a few weeks unable to turn the PS3 back on and have only recently been able to put Skyrim back in. ME3, along with some other recent disappointments, has almost got me to the point of selling the bloody thing and sticking to my NES, SNES, Genesis and DOS with a few indie RPGs for Android thrown in. Bioware was a ray of hope in the darkness that is modern gaming, with that light dimmed if not completely extinguished I have little hope in finding a worthy epic RPG in the future.

I disagree, but I withhold further comment.

I will likewise place you on ignore so neither of us has any ability whatsoever to aggrivate the other as a sign that I do not want to fight.

Have a pleasant evening sir.  I hold no ill will towards you or anyone else.  I and those in my movement only fight to regain a better direction for our beloved game.

Good night, everyone.

wow...  so by boycotting the company making the game, you are making the game stronger...

wait, what?

so...  by taking money away from the company, you are reducing the budget from which further games will have to be designed with.

this makes Mass Effect 3 better....  how?

honestly, this sounds kind of like the circular logic used in the ending.

face it - this thread is your vague attempt at threatening BioWare.  they don't care.  even if there are 1,000 of you, there are millions more waiting for their next game.  all they need to do is adjust their marketing a little bit and you won't even care, and they'll pick up 1,000 fans elsewhere.

btw...  telling me that you are going to put me on ignore tells me that you are really annoyed with me.  if you were actually arguing rationally, you wouldn't bother telling me - you would just ignore me and let me embarass myself.  by announcing to the world that you are ignoring me, you are simply denying the logic of my argument - that this thread is a pointless, baseless threat against a company that you are willing to discard over 5 minutes of video.

my signature - the banner at the bottom argues my point - i love the game too.  i was disappointed by the ending.

my argument here is that this has nothing to do with the game and directly conflicts with the interests of the company running and maintaining these forums.  they have every right to lock/remove threads and people like you.

You're right he is kinda like a fly....meh oh well this'll be the last time I acknowledge his existance.

Well, about the game did anyone play this weekend? I did for about 2 hours in MP, and I have to say the new weapons are weak sauce. I also notice people haven't learned to use the wave 11 timer. They keep rushing to the pick-up point only to be bummed rushed to death. Kinda sucked for them. I lived tho so :D

While this forums isn't particularly for multiplayer I love it and have to agree.  New weapons aren't all that great; Harpoon gun isn't much of an upgrade from other sniper rifles, and the Striker doesn't do nearly enough damage.  Striker is good for support, if your near an ammo crate.

The new classes, however, woo-boy.  Good job on those, amazing.  Asari Justicar is amazing.

I know this isn't the MP forum, but I wanted to get people talking about something in the game, so that this thread didn't get locked.

But yea I wasn't to impressed with the new weapons. The Harpoon gun's rate of fire is sad, to say the least. I did a test on bronze to see how it would handle before gold, I wouldn't use it. Blackwidow still seems to be the SR of choice. Do you know if the new weapons transfer to SP or are they just MP?

Oh the ironing.

The hold the wallet group are upset because of ME3's circular reference logic whilst the hold the wallet movement ideals in themselves are a circular reference.

Maybe we should have a "hold the reply" campaign to address the issues surrounding the "hold the wallet" movement lol

Wouldnt it be far more productive to just reply to as many threads and vaguely tie in your movement if Bioware is just going to keep locking the thread (and one can only wonder how much longer till they start banning)

I think everyone's of the movement is doing that already . It's good to remind most people that their impact on BioWare will be large considering the negative publicity , word of mouth , etc . The main goal , however , should be a reversal of these things if BioWare should finally deliver on a finished product .

I was shocked when they ignored all feedback from the fans - their customers, the people who actually spent hundreds of hours playing ME games and I was insulted by their decision to block first thread and their greedy explanation - "You are trying to take money from us by misleading our potential customers".

lolwut?

You're lying to people to rob them of the experience of the games and you're misleading those to let them not have an opinion of their own.

So, who's the greedy one again?

What do you mean?

We're helping them sell games.

Remember that "provoked a bigger fan reaction than any other videogame in the medium's history" is how they're selling it now.

Simply put this is not a movement merely for ME3s sake. It's for Dragon Age, Mass Effect, KotOR and all the other games out there that get poorly made for the sake of profit in the short run.

Do we not have the right to complain if a product is not up to standards that were both expected and promised? I find it a very valid point

As a side note: I notice EVO_9 is still posting. Can't see what he says, but I know it very most likely isn't good.

As a reminder: Ignore him. Entirely. Do not acknowledge his existence in any way shape or form. This is the first blanket rule I am laying out in the history of HTW. Please stick to it.

Thanks!

Excellent!

I am glad to see membership is on the rise. We have gained a total of 859 members, and growing at one new member every ten minutes or so. Sometimes one every five.

We will accomplish the hallmark goal of 1,000 members within two days, I think.  One, if we are lucky and keep this thread up.  If anything, I'm glad Evo9 and the other such disagreement folk are keeping the thread up-to-date.  I always worry about the thread falling off the front page.  We gain the most members when it is easy to seee.  I'm honest when I say I'm actually somewhat thankful for the free bumps.

Good work, everyone. Good work.

I've taken you off ignore and sent you a PM.  If you could read it, I would appreciate it.

The leadership at this movement is not blind.  I certainly am not.  I would be happy to talk to you and find out what it is that you do not like about the movement, and I will spend the time to talk to you likewise.  I'm happy to listen and to talk, if you are.  I'll tell my movement to speak to you likewise if we are able to figure out what is at the root of the contention between yourself and my group.

Speaking as the leader, I would like to clarify things just a bit though.  I don't say them in anger.  I say NOTHING in anger, actually.  Almost everything I say, if you could hear it in RL, is said with a tone of kindness and understanding.  I HAVE to talk that way in my job, which is as a Medic and soon to be as a Doctor.

The first:

What this movement is trying to do is to show Bioware frank business sense.  They seem to have lost it when they encountered EA.  This movement is full of those who have their trust shaken in Bioware, and would like to see it restored to it's former glory and grandeur.  We don't want to hurt them or cause them problems, but we DO want to express our desire to have things addressed and issues fixed that we see as some glaring issues.

I think I can speak for nearly the entire movement in the following sentences:   We are MORE than happy to buy things from them if they shape up a bit and knock off the nonsense.

The second:

The above is all we want and hope to gain.  It's a form of tough love.  I'll be the first one throwing my wallet at my screen trying to give them money if they make things right.

Am I fair in how I have spoken, everyone?

The above call-to-peace applies to EVERYONE who has feelings for or against the HTW group.

I will address any and all concerns sent to me through PM.  I will be civil and nice about it by nature.

If anyone has questions or concerns, please let me know.  The only thing it can do is point out flaws that I can fix, or to help ease tension.

I am not a badguy.  I'm reasonable, and I am happy to listen to everyone. :D

Are you troll or indoctrinated?

Lying? about what? About the ending was poorly made? The ending was shi* - it's obvious true.
Every customer decides is he with the movement or not. I'm not taking any experience from any person.

But bioware closed the last thread with  this quote  "I will not allow our Social Site to be used to encourage people to avoid our games" means "I will not allow you mislead our potential customers not to give us more money"

And now I disagree with this movement, because regardless what EA/Bioware will do to fix this whole mess, I'm still not buying their product ever again. My money goes to companies who respect their customers and not trying to insult and shut them up.

"Best Buy has slashed the price of Bioware’s space epic to $39.99.
It isn’t a permanent price cut, so don’t go reading too much into this
move as grand evidence that the practice of abusing consumers has
crippled EA’s ability to sell video games. But it is still a very low
price for a game so soon into its release, and might indicate that
enthusiasm has waned especially quickly for Mass Effect 3."

I have some things to say about this.  (Not mad)  One moment.  Sending PM.
