The only time i play female human is if i think my male human powers need to be reset and don't want to waste a respec card.
^This. I used to play male human engineer and wanted to respec, so I switched to the female.

Yea, because why waste a Reset Powers if you screwed up your Male character slot with something you didn't want? Or, same thing if you started out with a female character. Duh.Restatement,
Do guys play as human females (and vice versa), if so why and generally with what frequency?

I play human males and human females with about equal frequency, for variety.

No. Just no. Hale is like listening to nails on a chalkboard in everything she "acts" in. The real reason dudes play as femshep, I would assume, would be to ******. Same goes for the MP characters. But that's just my opinion.Major Durza wrote...
I can understand making a female Shep in SP, Hale does beat Meer by a considerable margin

I love most of Hale's works, but somehow, I dunno, FemShep seems off. It's like she's in a bad mood all of the time. Perfect for renegade runs though!
as for guys playing as females, have you ever read the 'Tomb Raider explanation'? "If I'm spending at least 20 hours looking at the same character through this game, expecially from behind, let it at least be a pleasant view"
MP I usually play as female characters, much because everyone else already plays as a male in my group.
as for single player ME, I play as a Male Shep.

"Sex" is a dirty word for some people, so a lot of people use "gender" as a more polite replacement. "Race" is easier to type than "species," and gets used more often in day-to-day conversation. I enjoy random bouts of pedantry myself, but there are valid reasons for those particular word choices.Zkyire wrote...
Repeated uses of the word "gender" in this thread instead of the word "sex".
Just like so many people here say "race" rather than "species" when referring to aliens.

Meh, I prefer Hale's voice over Meer's. Though I prefer Jo Wyatt (LadyHawke) over Hale; she does smartass a lot better.kookie28 wrote...

that was actually said in a interview with one of the many directors of the tomb raider series XD
I got that letter by letter since my boyfriend reminds me of it every single day, hahah!
but i had to agree about Hale. I'm a fan, but fem shep... ah... no.

While it's an acceptable reason, it's a bit silly. Since you know, you should be looking at the damn banshee/ravager/phantom/baby jesus bearing down on you >_>
I just picture these people dying to dumb stuff all the time, while it's not true in all cases. It still crops up.

I do not get this. The weirdest part is, this isn't the first time I've seen a topic like this, it pops up all the time in SP. "Why play a ~girl~ when you can play a MAN?"Major Durza wrote...
playing as an Asari would make me feel like a cross-dresser of sorts, but really? Playing a HUMAN femaie?
I play a male salarian sometimes. That doesn't make me male or an alien. I play a geth sometimes. That doesn't make me a robot.
