@ Tarpeian Rock

I didn't get deployed but as someone else who is serving I feel your pain and agree with pretty much EVERYTHING you said. Bioware's has been going downhill and I hope that trend stops before it picks up speed.

Don´t think that "mad" would be fitting - anyway, i think that most angry or dissapointed people have allready moved on and it´s getting more quiet in here - and i´m lurking a bit longer around here, but i guess i soon won´t check on the forums either.

Bioware chose the "duck and cover" method of handling the situation and it cost them a lot of customers - yes, ME3 sold well, but people won´t forget about all what happened. They´ll have to find new customers, but that won´t be a problem, Bioware goes more and more into the casual games business, where the money lies - making games and apps for the ipad and such. well, good riddance.

So, i´ll check if my Witcher2 enhanced edition update has arrived - keen on playing it! :)

well, i guess that was it for me, Bioware, ME3 and my visits to this forum. Bye! :)

Mad? No. Not at all. Disappointed. It's like when you become out of touch with an old friend, and then you catch up after years of being a part and all of a sudden you realise you have nothing in common any more.

Time to make new friends, I guess.

I shall not have a valid consensus ready until the material in question is made available.

I'm also never been really "mad", mostly disappointed and lost a lot of trust. I don't know what I'll think of the DLC, but since I don't believe "clarification" is what the ending really needs, I'm prepared for the worst.

Even if the DLC turns out great, not everything will be fixed. The ending being bad is not the only problem. There's been Bioware's condescending attitude, exclusion from the discussion, excuses, having to buy apps (and probably future DLC) to get enough war assets for the "best" ending, Diana Allers, selling little bits of the game with merchandise, etc. All this adds up to a loss of trust, something Bioware has built up for me since 1998.

Because of my lack of trust, I've become suspicios of a lot of things. What was that Diana Allers thing all about? Have review scores been bought? Were they intending to sell us the ending as a DLC? I don't know what's the truth here, but I don't believe EA is above such ratty tactics. I believe EA will go as far as people will let them.

All good points Raggie. I'm also getting the impression that Bioware simply doesn't care that their current behavior is also causing more fan and consumer irritation and loss of respect. Can they really think that people do not notice when they are being talked down to? Oy.

I'm not mad. I was disappointed at the ending, but since I don't like to live in the past and dwell on things that will never change, I have moved on.

Guild Wars 2 is my hype now. Bought and registered, just have to finish my new rig. There's a life after Mass Effect 3, people.

I might be wrong since Bioware refuses to talk, but I'm under the impression that they really do think they are right and we are just a bunch of entitled whiners. It's going to be hard to start rebuilding trust from that.

Of course one must keep in mind there's no "Bioware's opinion". Bioware consists of a lot of people and I'm sure there are a lot of different feelings around there too. I'm betting the DA3 team is really feeling the pressure too!

True enough. Also, they're going to have to learn from not only their mistakes but now from ME3's as well. If DA3 is awesome will that mend things with the fan/consumer base? No clue, so we'll see what happens.

Or are you all satisfied with the Extended Cut DLC?  What's the general consensus?

That the BioWare who used to make awesome games is dead, buried, rotten, forgotten and feasted on by festering EA maggots.

And that's after the EC DLC.

Not mad. Honestly I just don't care anymore. Mass Effect is a dead franchise to me.

Thanks for letting us know about your lack of care by posting on the ME forums.

Having not seen the Extended Cut I don't see how I can comment?

I am not mad. I am amused. The management totally misses the problem. But hey, it is their reputation they are playing with. There is no chance that the EC will sooth the people. As written so often, those satisfied, won't care much about the EC. Those who are not, won't be happy with it.

Personally I'm no longer mad (doesn't mean they're going to get any money from me) but I'm not satisfied with the DLC.

I'm not mad, far from it. From gamer perspective I have other great games to play such as The Witcher 2 (best RPG I have ever played), real Horde Mode 2.0 in Gears Of War 3 etc. One is for sure, I will not pre-order any, not to mention Collectors/Super/Limited Edition, game from EA/Bioware before reading critics/user reviews, and even then I will look for second hand copy.

I'm not mad, rather flabbergasted.

Since the problem I see with the ending is that there's no build up in the game (that happens before) I highly doubt anything added (after the ending) will change my opinion.

I wouldn't say I'm angry. Disappointed, maybe.

I'd rather the Star Child was tossed out the nearest airlock and we got a completely retconned ending, but I'm also waiting to see how this all plays out in the extended DLC before making a judgement. Bioware has hinted that the Red Ending doesn't necessarily kill EDI and the Geth, and if that is the case I might actually be okay with that ending.

I'm not mad.

I see a lot lof major problems with the single player mass effect 3 campaing, and even taking the extended cut DLC into account the statements from bioware indicate they are very proud of the game that they made.

Obviously, somewhere down the line my idea and biowares idea of what makes a good game got out of sync.

I do really enjoy the multi-player, so i'm playing lots of that but getting my single player RPG fix elsewhere. I got Alpha Protocol for £4 the other day, its flawed but then so was Mass Effect 3 and it cost me £64.99.
