The only difference is that not all of those Thanix cannons are calibrated properly.

They should've waited when the Turians asked them to!

So, 4 thanix cannons can overheat reaper shields, and you point out they are widely used...so this isn't a contradiction in lore it just means thanix cannons don't work, got it.

Or, it means that it's hard to use them effectively. I believe the 4 ships overheating Reaper shields thing is a reference to 4 dreadnaughts doing this by firing all at once. There are probably about 80 dreadnaughts in the galaxy, total, before the war begins, and we see a bunch of them get blown up early in the game.

Well what is the difference between frigates and dreadnoughts? Is it amount of thanix cannons on the dreadnaughts? Is it the power output? I doubt the dreadnaught firepower outpaces a frigates to make the number of frigates present with thanix cannons an irrelevant figure.

I know this sounds bad OP, but what if the ships crossed the streams?

I think the problem was they didn't represent the Thannix Cannons properly in the fleet. >.>.

And in any fight where you lose with less than 4:1 ration...you're not going to fare well. Reapers don't need 4 shots to destroy the strongest alliance vessels, nor do they need to concentrate fire. From what we see, 1 shot pretty much does it. The infatuation with Thanix Cannons as miracle weapon is bizarre.

Wait what? Sovereign's main gun was a big sized Thanix Canon? I thought Reapers use those slow-ass red lazers

The lasers are thanix canons according to the game.

The issue, OP, is not that they didn't have them on their ship. The issue is that they're never used in ME3 so it looks like they've suddenly gone derp and downgraded their ships.

The Alliance misread the instructions.

Instead of the Thanix using superheated metal to ruin someone's day.

They just put random slugs in.

They need to make the alliance thanix cannons red they would kick a** then, like the reapers.

Or just give each dreadnought like 10, if 1 can fit on a frigate or fighter.

>People disliking the Crucible
Listen, there are a potentially limitless number of Reapers spread across the galaxy. How do you hit all of them at exactly the same time in order to end the war everywhere at the same time?

Not with Thanix Cannons, I'll tell you. The Crucible is a necessary and completely acceptable plot device. You may not like it, but its a hell of a lot better than Shepard and Garrus riding into the Mother Reaper and infecting it with a computer virus to disable the Reapers shields.

The fact that the Crucible needs to be built first over several months by every single species engineers using an unfathomably large number of resources and like 1000 trillion credits makes it not a Deus Ex Machina per definition.

The problem with the Crucible was that its function was apparently invented by the Catalyst, which is bullcrap.
