Drell Vgaurd, and you can only use biotic charge. You can't put points into any other skills, only Biotic charge, so no fitness or Passive.
Firebase Condor or Hydra, Reaper.
You can do it solo or with other players.
Weapons don't matter since you can't use them
And you can use one consumable per player in the game. So if you are playing with 4 players, then in total, your team can use 4 consumables, your choice which ones you use, but you are limited as a team to 4. And that's spread among you all, so if you use three medigel, then your team only has one consumable left.
And, I think, if you die, you should have to sit out the rest of the game, as long as it doesn't make the game too hard. So basically, perma death :D

You ever tried killing a Maurauder with Biotic Charge only? That's like 5-6 charges. Would take us forever and would be tedious. There's a difference between challenging and tedious. I'm sorry, but we're not going to attempt this.

Been trying to think of 1 for a while so I hope this one sounds good...

A Separated Pack of Wolves:
You can pick any class/loadout you want.
Consumables may be used.
At the beginning of the match, each player must go to a different zone of the map (divide it into 4 halves)
When you die, you can either medi-gel or bleed out, teammates are NOT allowed to revive you.
If you can see enemies in different zones you may attack them, but NOT cross the line into the other players zone.
Your zone restrictions end when there is 30 seconds remaining until extraction.

If this isn't hard enough change it so you may only attack enemies within your zone, that should pump up the challenge a bit :-)

Dunno if this one has been mentioned yet...but, I'll call this challenge "The Adventurers" (if you choose to accept). Idea is kinda vague, so apologies in advance if things seem incoherent.

This idea is to imitate a party that you would typically see in a MMORPG.

Requirements:
  • Tank: Your choice of class, but restricted to melee attacks only.
  • DPS: Restricted to Soldier (your choice on race). Allowed to use any weapons/abilities of choice.
  • Support: Restricted to Asari Justicar. Only allowed to use Biotic Sphere, Pull, and a SMG of your choice.
  • Healer: Restricted to Geth Engineer. Only allowed to use Geth Turret and Overload abilities. Not allowed to fire a single shot.
  • Only the Support and Healer can revive if someone falls, so Tank and DPS aren't allowed to use Medi-Gels. Only the DPS can use rockets. You can pick the map and enemy.
Something like that.

You guys are doing awesome.

You already did 4 Human Vanguards, but all focused on nova/charge. Now let's give that a bit of a twist and turn it into something totally different:

Operation: Earthquake
- 4 Human Vanguards vs Reapers on FB:Hydra
- 2 of you use a Viper sniper rifle.
- The other 2 a shotgun of their choice.
- Every enemy or group of enemies you attack must be hit with Shockwave at least once.
- You may only use charge on swarmers.

Challenge: Archangel's Squad
Enemy: Reapers
Map: Any
Difficulty: Gold

Premise: Garrus rebuilds his squad from Omega with different people in attempts of helping the Alliance and the Council take down the Reapers. Same s**t, different day... but the outcome remains the same...

Specifications:

Four Player team:

Player One: Turian Soldier, Weapons: Viper, Vindicator Powers: Concussive Shot, Promixity Mine.

Player Two: Batarian Sentinel, Weapon: Kishock Harpoon Gun, Powers: Submission Net, Shockwave

Player Three: Salarian Infiltrator, Weapons: Falcon, Scorpion, Powers: Energy Drain, Proximity Mine

This is the main squad however if you need a fourth:

Player Four: Turian Sentinel, Weapons: Revenant, Powers: Tech Armour, Overload

The premise is based on what we know of Garrus's squad during his time on Omega. He had a Salarian explosives expert, a Batarian tech expert, himself and one Sidonis. I improvised the builds of the last three players with the Turian Sentinel being based on Warden Kuril with the missing Overload from Garrus' power set.

Keeping with the premise there are some limitations:

Batarian is the only one allowed to Activate/Deactive the objectives in the "Get Four" mission. (because he's the tech expert)

Turian Soldier is the only one allowed to use Survival Packs, Thermal Clip Packs and Medi-Gel.

Turian Sentinel is not allowed to purge Tech Armour.

Salarian is the only one allowed to use Cobra Missiles.

Hope this provides a fun challenge!

Seeing as someone posted a brilliant idea about modifying player-behaviour, I'll delve somewhat into that.

You'll be assigned roles.

- A Quarian Engineer with a SMG of your choice (not Geth), and a flamethrowing turret as the only allowed abilities. This player will be the only player allowed to use rockets and complete objectives.

- A Turian Soldier. This soldier will stick to the Quarian throughout the entire game, and have a reckless, vengeful behaviour. Anything happening to the Quarian must be paid back tenfold! (Using the Revenant and Claymore for added rambo-effect)

- A Human Infiltrator with a Widow/BW acting like a bloody coward, supposed to be covering the two above. Failing miserably at that. Weaker enemies (Husks, Assault troopers, Geth troopers) doesn't scare this player, but anything stronger will cause this player to panic!

- And an Asari Adept, kinda annoyed at the above three, therefore running solo with abilities and no guns. This player is the only one allowed to revive, and does not really feel compelled to do so, to learn the above three a lesson or ten. (This player can use any power mods, but no weapons / rockets)


With good voiceover, this could turn into a bloody hilarious sketch!

A solo human male soldier using only a full auto weapon (SMG or AR, whatever) and grenades, no concussive shot. on Gold against any enemy. GL HF DD.

I've got an interesting challenge.

Use a:
Turian Soldier, only using proximity mine and a locust
Human Sentinel, only using warp and an avenger
Quarian Engineer, only using cryo blast and a geth plasma smg
Asari Justicar, only using an offensive bubble and a shuriken

Against reapers on random map (or map of your choice)

I'm kinda curious to see how well all the debuffs will stack, and if stacking them will make these weapons seem powerful by massively increasing damage taken and massively decreasing enemy armor.  If possible, I'd like to see this done without using AP ammo, too, as that already bypasses a lot of the armor.

I've got an ever growing friends list with people very good at this game. We're all in agreement that no matter what the setup, multiplayer has become easy. We started challenging ourselves with weird class and weapon combinations, but I wanted to get the community's input on what a challenge really is!  Have you got an idea in mind? Feel free to post it here. If it's feasible, we'll try it out and post it on YouTube! We really do love thematic challenges, they're absolutely the most fun to complete.

Regarding the "Grenades Only is impossible" thing... keep in mind that Inferno Grenades stack with themselves and Firebase Ghost gives you extra grenades.  I'm not sure how fast you can take down heavies... but those grenades will eat through mooks pretty darn fast, considering that two stacked will kill Centurions and such.

A challenge? 4 Human Adepts with Shurikens, with a 6/6/6/6/0 setup, no powers allowed. Melee and use of the Shuriken are to be the only forms of attack. Against Gold Reapers on Firebase Condor.

It's not that it's impossible. It would just take forever with four classes using grenades, even on Firebase Ghost and Hydra. The first five waves would be fine, but the next six would take forever. We've gotten plenty of challenges that are both hard and fun that we can finish in a resonable time. We'll be doing those first.

Just thought up a few challenges. Hope you enjoy.

Challenge: Huh, Thermals... That's Refreshing
Map: Any
Enemy: Any
Difficulty: Any

The Premise: The N7 Spec Ops are in short supply of Cobras, Survival Packs and Medi-Gel and pretty much every piece of equipment. Your mission is to go scavenge some supplies...

The Team: Geth Infiltrator with Geth Pulse Rifle and Geth Plasma SMG, Batarian Sentinel with Kishock Harpoon Gun, Asarian Justicar with Disciple and Krogan Vanguard with Claymore

The Requirements: Complete a Gold run on any planet and against any enemy using only Thermal Clips (this means no Attachments or other Consumables. You are not allowed to refill using the Ammo Boxes. You can spec how use wish.


Challenge: Two Timing
Map: Any
Enemy: Any
Difficulty: Gold

The Squad: Turian Soldier with Revenant, Human Infiltrator with Raptor, Asari Vanguard with Hurricane and Paladin, Quarian Engineer with Eviscerator and Tempest

Requirements: The group must travel in pairs (Asari with Human, Quarian with Turian...) and must split the map into two, The twist comes where only the Quarian can revive the Human (and vica versa) and only the Turian can revive the Asari (and vica versa). Each player is allowed 1 Medi-Gel and Survival Packs. Other equipment has no limitations. A player is only allowed to enter the half of the map of the other pair when their respective revive buddy is down and can NOT take his/her partner with them (unless of course both players from the opposite pair wipe).


Challenge: Gun Game
Difficulty: Gold
Enemy: Geth
Map: Firebase Glacier

The Team: Any

Requirements: As the name entitles the game is quit obviously that involving guns. Complete the mission without using any powers or melee. Race, class, build and loadout is player's choice.


Challenge: Square One
Map: Any
Enemy: Any
Difficulty: Gold

The Team: Four Human Soldiers.

The Requirements: All non-passive powers can be maxed. The two passives must remain at zero. Complete the mission using only starter weapons (Katana, Mantis, Shuriken, Predator and Avenger). Who has what weapons is up to you.

Geth must carry at least one geth's weapon and quarians must wear at least the arc pistol.

The mission :
Location : Firebase condor
Ennemy : Cerberus
Level : Gold
Goal : Full extraction
There is two groups on the team : GE + QI and GI + QE. One group must stay in the arrival zone and the other must be on the top of the hill. The positions must be hold but you can team up for the last ennemy.
As a reminiscence of the war, Geth cannot revive Quarian and Quarian cannot revive Geth. The Geth/Quarian of the other group must travel across the map to revive the fallen one and then go back to its original position.

4 Turians: 2 Soldiers and 2 Sentinels all armed with Phaestons (no extended barrel) on Gold/Condor/Reapers

No Missiles, No Equipment and no Medigel - only revives. 

This simulates a scenario of a last Turian stand on Palaven moon against reaper forces, they are under-equipped (no missiles, equipment or medigel) and outnumbered.  

Must get full extraction.
