I'm so tired of finding players standing afk for xp and credits doing nothing at all. Please add the option to kick players who are afk or vote for a kick.
Please add option to kick afk players midgame.

I've only experienced that twice thus far, but I haven't done a HUGE amount of online play yet. However, this does seem to be a recurring problem. I'd say just convince each member to die/fail the mission, go to the lobby and kick the player.

I'm playing on a system without sound. So hard to tell people to start over again when I spot an afk player. That is unless they add the chat for PC as many players want.

Oh damn, sorry about that I was assuming console. Then yeah, I can understand the frustration with that. It would be nice to have as well.

No problem. Maybe they should add a little console or PC logo down in the corner of the registered game content logo near the avatar on forums hehe

The problem is the ability to check for afkers by EA's crappy server. You go into the game automatically, and its hard to check it out from there. If the game did something similar to call of duty to kick you out then it would work, but you select a class before hand. If they implemented this, it would end up getting to the point of kicking people mid game because you don't like them. It'd be too hard to register "oh look they want to kick this person for being afk not just because of some problem in game"

That would be nice.

I vote "yes" for a way to do this. Maybe a dual system of voting and behavior (either idleness detected or one single movement, like someone tying a rubber band to their control stick, or someone showing up to move the controller a tiny bit every 3 minutes). If you're playing then you are constantly sending commands to the control. The system should recognize this and if everyone votes "yes" then boot! They can easily find another game in the lobby if it was unjust but I'm guessing this system would be 90 to 95% accurate.
Other than that the only other solution is to just boycott games with campers/afkers. Perhaps I'll start doing that...

I've played A LOT of online multiplayer and happened only once. It happens sometimes they are away for a short time. I've had to do this myself.

Away from keyboard; pretty much anyone leeching, though.
And I agree - it's a necessary addition. They're essentially doing the same thing as glitchers, just with less work (meaning that further people are rendering Bioware's purchase-for-points packs pointless).

Oh, yeah, that would never be abused. Not ever.

I play as a sniper sometimes, and when there isn't anything near me, I don't move. I'll sit there in that spot for the entire round, because I'm holding that line. "Hold the line." So I may not do much during a round, at all. If it came up saying you have like a minute to move before you got kicked for afk, that'd be different. But there are issues in the real world that would make this a problem (pets, kids, bio, food, somebody at your door). In the end, I don't think they'll implement this because not everyone playing lives alone in an apartment without friends or in their parents basement and don't do anything

I would love it if people just bumped existing threads instead of creating new ones.

I usually run into one or two matches a night with an afk leacher. It seems to be usually on silver. I play one, maybe two waves and if I see any player that has a score of zero then I leave the game immediately. No way am I going to help someone who wont help the team. They could easily put in a check for player inactivity and certainly should.

Just ran into an afker. FB: W Geth Gold run. On wave 3, i decides to not hack the 4 nodes as i am the only infiltrator. The leader of the game just hides and the other 2 decides to venture out to hack and died. I caused a wiped, but i am happy.

I dont like the in game kick idea as im certain it would be abused.
If you find a leecher just quit the game and dont play with them again.

Say you need take a minute or don't go to that game if you can't be from beginning or to wave 4. I play with xbox and if afk player don't start play in wave 6 I tell my team mates that i need a minute and revive "avoid this player" reason that don't play by rules.vware wrote...

In game kick is little problematic...someone don't like player KICK, other's don't think you gamescore is not same level KICK and so on
