Like I said. By minimizing nudity EA broadened the consumer market. If they had their say the game probably would not have any romantic subtext. Almost nobody complains about violence in video games. Well, unless there's a school shooting, then it's all video game's fault.

Because as long as a game doesn't have blood in it, it can get a T rating.
It's just like Arkham City: You can break enemies arms and beat them with baseball bats but because there is no blood, it gets a T rating.

I completely agree that a game doesn't need nudity if the romances are written well.
I liked Kaidan's in ME3. I thought that it was well done.

Now, I only heard about Traynor's shower scene (I didn't romance her).Having clothes on in the shower doesn't make sense and ruins the flow in my opinion.Strategic camera angles and nude shots above the shoulders would have been better. Or better yet, like someone suggested in a thread; Make the shower foggy so you can't see anything.

I stand by my theory which I posted already years ago:

The love scene in ME1 was made by a unknown intern at Bioware, living a meager life somewhere in the depths of the basement dungeon. Casey Hudson forgot to feed him after the huge success Mass Effect turned out to be so he starved. Since no one else in the whole company had the abilities to create a truly erotic and sensible scene we got served with those clothed ragdoll-sex in ME2.

Not really. It turned out that they rescued some DNA of the intern. They cloned him and he was ready in time to contribute to the love scenes in the Shadow Broker DLC and ME3 (as far as Liara is concerned, since I don't know any other scenes).

Christ if a game is rated Mature why would brats play it in the first place?...How is it EA's fault that the parents bought a game that contains some form of nudity?

There was no point to the nudity other than a possibly higher ESRB rating. Showing ****** for the sake of showing ****** is not artsy, it's just crude.

I admire BioWare for keeping it classy.

I know it's kind of a prejudice, but you always hear the ones bawling the loudest. What's more, politics are scared of the ones bawling the loudest. And that influences all of us.

I'm not a religious person, but I'm well aware there are still christians deserving that name. I mostly turned away from religion because I was utterly apalled by a group having a problem with sex but no problem with death and violence in the name of their god.

Why is there no nudity? Because our society is filled with prudes. If I posted  a picture of the statue of David or the Birth of Venus I guartntee you someone would complain.

2) To maximize consumer market by not having overtly sexual content. Yes it is still rated M, but if you think only people older than 17 play this game, you are naive.

Its only rated 15 in the uk, if it had about proper adult content then it would have had a rating of 18 like the Witcher 2 did.
