GPR will have its damage per bullet halved.

And the graphic will now shoot water and negate any flame explosions/powers/ammo.

I'd like it to literally shoot marshmallows instead of just figuratively.

Shoot marshmellows, use flame powers to melt the marshmellows, slowing movement speed of enemy covered in sticky yummyness, eat the yummyness for more health/sheilds while enemy is stuck....POSSIBILITIES!

I bet all of the crappy guns like avenger get nerfed in hopes to make noobs stop using them.

If they are noobs would they recognize the difference or care?

Well since some guns are so bad that it does close to 0 damage already, a nerf will cause it to heal the mob instead. It might take a few months for the noob to care, but I'm sure they will at some point.

I strongly oppose carnifex nerfing especially you have it on level 10. Stop.complaining about the sabre and paladin. They are not.level 10. Once u have them on 10 its a different story.

That's the problem. From regular spec packs, the chance of a particular N7 is less than 1%. Combined with multiple char cards it's near impossible without Real life (What's that?) moneyz or extreme luck.

So in the interest of fact-checking, I just went and counted all the nerfs and buffs made since march 6th. I didn't tally every single line; I used an aggregate count, since most of the changes are all buffs to a power or weapon; nerfs usually happen alongside buffs, but not always (the initial Falcon nerfs, for example). In cases where weapons were both buffed and nerfed at the same time in different ways, I counted them as one buff and one nerf.

So, the quick and dirty numbers:

weapon buffs: 15
weapon nerfs: 6

power buffs: 17
power nerfs: 3

class buffs: 5
class nerfs:
(class buffs are things like changing drell vanguard's base weight capacity)

enemy buffs: 5
enemy nerfs:

consumables buffs: 1
consumables nerfs:

Clearly, Bioware have gone mad with the nerf bat.

Yet many of the buffs (Not all) Have been neglegible and many of the nerfs (Again, not all) Have made the weapon redundant. Also, consider we're using the Nerf lable as a stereotype for humor. Liking barrus btw.

Why would they nerf the carnifex now after weeks of no modification. People are way to pessimistic around here. All i see is people saying all the good weapons are going to get nerfed but if they did that it would upset the community to no end. Seems like a bad business decision to me and extremely unlikely.

No kidding. Half the guns aren't even usuable past Silver and people want a slightly OP pistol to get nerfed. lol. You guys need to get your priorities checked.

It's called satire, bro.
Paladin buff was serious though.

That wasn't really directed to you. I've seen lots of topics lately calling for Carni nerfs.

It's not the number of nerfs that people are upset about, it's that most of the nerfs weren't needed or rendered the weapon completely useless. You're missing the point.

I'm not missing the point at all. People are just hypersensitive to nerfs that affect them personally, and ignore all the buffs that have been made to things that don't.

While I would generally agree that buffing needs to continue (instead of nerfing), I think it's clear that has been Bioware's general approach to game changes.

I'm betting the Striker goes to join it's cousin. Carni Probably has it coming as well.
And maybe a Paladin buff as well, it doesn't hit hard enough to weigh as much as a Revenant.

What you meant to say was, you think there should be a revenant buff as it shouldnt be outdamaged by a pistol in most situations Image IPB

But then, if you were a warrior and hit an opponent's sword with enough force to blow it out thier hands, it won't magically kill him.

How about you go whine about the SP game in one of the three dedicated SP forums instead of bringing it to MP where nobody wants to hear it and nobody cares.

That argument would be perfectly valid if Sabre/Paladin were of the same rarity as the Carnifex, but they are not. There's a good chance players will have a Carnifex at level X long before they see their second Sabre/Paladin, if not before they see their first.

The Black Widow is a good example of what an N7 weapon should be when compared to other weapons of lesser rarity in its class. When compared to the Widow X, both the Black Widow I and Widow X have their advantages and disadvantages and will suit different playstyles and different enemies. For example; I find the Widow X to genuinely be a better option than the Black Widow when fighting Reapers. The shield gating mechanic is much less an issue when facing them, as only Marauders and Banshees have shields/barriers and the Banshee's barriers are strong enough to warrant a couple of shots from the Widow X. The Widow X suffers less at the hands of the many armoured Reaper units, too.

That is how level 1 N7 weapons should compare to level X weapons of the same class. Their rarity should make them immediately comparable, and then gradually superior as the very rare upgrades for them are obtained.

That is not the case for the Carnifex/Paladin, though. The Carnifex is simply a superior weapon, unless they're of equal level - and even then, that only makes them comparable. Someone with both pistols at level X would likely still choose the Carnifex simply due to its greater capacity and lower weight.

But to be clear, I'm not advocating a nerf for the Carnifex, or any gun for that matter. I'm just pointing out that the rarity-to-power ratio is massively skewed, and needs to be fixed. I'm also pointing out that your argument was inherently flawed, of course.

Base damaged decreased from 0 to -120.
Base ammo capacity decreased to -1, without thermal clips, the gun spontaneously explodes as soon as you shoot it.

The thing is, a lot of the buffs were needed. A lot of the nerfs weren't. THAT's why people are upset and are more vocal about the nerfs. It has nothing to do with being hypersensitive to your favorite guns and powers, it's that Bioware is doing a bad job at balancing the MP.

Nothing needs to be nerfed, but a lot of guns need serious improvement, and weight deductions.

Which nerfs do you feel were unnecessary? There haven't been that many nerfs in total, so it shouldn't be hard to name a few.

I had a Carnifex X before I had a Saber, and had a Paladin I at the time.

The only guns that could legitimately be nerfed are the ones that ignore the shield gate, and I think that's pretty unlikely.  The Striker needs consumables to be viable on Gold, so it's fine.  We'll most likely be seeing buffs to weapons and enemies for a while.

Well, I hope they don't nerf anything following the past 2 weeks. I hope for some soldier buffs though.
