Why can't you kill Brother Genitivi if you send him to Denerim before finding the ashes?

Or some how stop him from talking If you sent him back to Denerim before uncovering the ashes? What if you just don't talk to him in Denerim?

You can kill him in the temple during the conversation where he says he won't be swayed from spreading the news about the ashes.

I think after that, there's no choice.

You can kill him. I don't know if you could change his mind after he goes back to Denerim, but he certainly can't be talked out of it in the temple.

yes, you can...lol. a very well thrown dagger to the back of the skull. some of your party members may not like that solution though.

it's better just to let him go...really.

No he's not in the temple if you send him to Denerim.

This is if you send him to Denerim before uncovering the ashes he never sets foot in the temple.

I was never able to convince him to go to Denerim before going into the temple.  He pretty much insists on going so he can show you how to use the medallion.  I tried.

I was he fixes the medallion for you while lying on the ground and that's the last you see of him unless you meet him in Denerim but than there's no option to kill him just show him the ashes.

Huh.  Cool.  I can hardly pass up the chance to have him say the "Lo, Willy worked many a year" line which is pretty much my favorite in the whole game.

But I'll try that next time.

That's right, you can only kill him if you take him to a secluded place, like maybe a seemingly abandoned temple that is populated with insane dragon worshipping zealots.  Now if we could only find a place like that.

Yeah but since your never get the chance to kill him if you send him to Denerim before finding the ashes there should at least be the option to lie or persuade him not to do anything.

It really doesn't do anything except take away the option of killing him.

Instead of the (Kill Him)  It's replaced with (If you say so)  ( Yes I agree)  & ( Yes thats a wonderful Idea)Thats it not even an option to say ( I don't think you should do that)

Right. You couldn't possibly kill him in the secluded place that is his home. You already killed someone there, so it's full up.

I came here for exactly that line and now I'm leaving satisfied. Thanks!
