Gold Standard Melee Sentinel Build: Take 5?

6 Blade Armor: Melee, Melee Returned, Damage Resistance
6 Dat Net: Incap?, Cooldown, Electric Field
6 Shockwave: Radius, Distance, Cooldown
0 Batarian Enforcer! (Hear me out)
6 Fitness: Melee, Melee, Melee

If you take a Hornet with a good ammo power, you really don't need to improve your weapon (as long as you hit your target, which admittedly can be a challenge without a Turian but def can work on another race as long as you don't ever zoom in with it). Plus you'll be at 200% and can take the cooldown reduction perks to make sure your powers stay relatively spammable even with Blade Armor on and maxed for DR. Spam them disruptive powers, melee at every opportunity, hornet for clean-up.

As soon as I get a reset card I'll try this out and return with some feedback lol. I'm so determined to make a Melee Sentinel work like a Melee Soldier does lol.

The melee Sentinel has a good melee method too though.  They set up a net, wait for enemies to get stunned, and punches them in the face.

It's actually very effective at choke points, and certain maps.

Yes but the net's too slow and unreliable on it's own. And up until now I've been listening to the "Shockwave sucks!!!1!!1" crowd and ignoring it completely.

But I've seen the light, and Shockwave spam is indeed awesome, especially couple with dat net, so now I'm just trying to incorporate both into a single melee-focused build and it seems the only way to really get the most out of both powers and melee is to forgeo weapon damage/weight capacity and pack light (but powerful). A Hornet with the right ammo power might just be enough of a beast to get by with 0 in Batarian Enforcer. I'll let you know how it works out!

The Net by the way has just got a 30% movement buff..

I wonder how much more effective it is now.

The one problem is, if you want to maximize damage, and melee-ability, you will have to sacrafice either Shockwave or Net..

No dude; pay attention lol. I'm sacrificing Batarian Enforcer so I can spam powers and melees and not worry too much about weapon damage (Hornet X + AP Ammo = deadly and lightweight enough without needing any points in Batarian Enforcer).

Just gotta get my aiming down with that gun as a non-Turian lol.

Weight, you get 200% recharge without weight eh?

Hmm..

About 300 less damage from each blade thrown though..

Lol what blades? Talking Sentinel. Power damage isn't top concern with Shockwave and Submission Net; disrupting enemies is. He's a bulldozer.

And in a weird way it kinda pays homage to the original design of the Sentinel class in general to take a light gun and no damage upgrades for it. All Tech and Biotics, no combat.

No combat except beautiful melee action of course lol.

Seems like the utility of this is a bit overrated. How often are these conditions going to occur in a real gold match?

Don't bother answering, it's a rhetorical question. I already know you'll respond with something useless like "all the time if you're skilled" etc. etc.

More info guys.. You can regenerate shields while taking damage with the biotic sphere combo.

And mars.. Err, I did a two man run with these setups. and it worked amaizngly. Epsecially with the amount we heavy melee.

The biotic sphere thing has less utility yes, but it's not useless.

Harsh, marsh. Zenning's just spreading the good word about the Batarian Soldier, for the glory of the Hegemony.

Also, you are a blight.

I'm just thinking about all the imminent headaches I'm going to have to endure from batarian soldiers in my gold matches running out of cover and dying to a mob of enemies while trying to punch a rocket in the face.

More info. No, Primes do not break through Damage reduction.

So. Figured out some pretty good uses. Put a bubble over a boss enemy, and the Batarian Solider will kill it no problem (Not Banshee's though). In fact, at choke points, a Batarian will work better than the Decoy because his shield will start regenerating by the time his punch finishes. Especially with the Power cycle consumable.

Yeah. There is a lot of utility for this actually.

So yes. Placing a bubble near a choke point, and punching the **** out of everything walking into is a very.. VERY!.. Effective strategy.

Considering I got giddy blowing up an Atlas' missile with a missed Graal shot, I'd probably spin out of my room shouting OOOOOOOOOOOOOHHH!!!! if I punched a rocket out of the sky.
