This is.. amazing. After seeing your thread on the blade cone increase I've been using my Batarian Soldier a lot and really enjoying it. Nothing like wiping out an entire room before an asari can set up a biotic explosion, hah. Knowing this about the heavy melee only makes this character better. Keep the good stuff coming!

My next topic should be about making Batarian's making Primes expldoes with harsh words.  It should be there soon.

Gold Standard Melee Sentinel Build: Take 5?

6 Blade Armor: Melee, Melee Returned, Damage Resistance
6 Dat Net: Incap?, Cooldown, Electric Field
6 Shockwave: Radius, Distance, Cooldown
0 Batarian Enforcer! (Hear me out)
6 Fitness: Melee, Melee, Melee

If you take a Hornet with a good ammo power, you really don't need to improve your weapon (as long as you hit your target, which admittedly can be a challenge without a Turian but def can work on another race as long as you don't ever zoom in with it). Plus you'll be at 200% and can take the cooldown reduction perks to make sure your powers stay relatively spammable even with Blade Armor on and maxed for DR. Spam them disruptive powers, melee at every opportunity, hornet for clean-up.

As soon as I get a reset card I'll try this out and return with some feedback lol. I'm so determined to make a Melee Sentinel work like a Melee Soldier does lol.

I've been trying Zenning's build for the soldier and been having a lot of fun, but I am still having difficulty finding a good strategy for the Sentinel.

I like the sound of this, I personally hate the hornet so I will try a different gun but I am going to give this a try tonight.

@Zenning, keep up the work with your awesome Batarian threads and discussions. ;)

I literally just picked up this class and I'm loving it almost as much as the HV.

Dat bubble Trick... that's made my day. I'm going to ask my friend to help and go punch massive robots and little men wearing big robot suits. In the face.

The ugliest mother in the game also one of the sexiest.

The problem I find with the Atlas, it'll just grab you if you are in front of it trying to power melee. You can get maybe 2 hits if your lucky. Otherwise it grabs you and crushes you.

Err. It will only grab after a melee.  Just back off once it melee's (Maybe get one punch in while it does) wait for it to shoot, or stagger, and then continue.

Sam principle with all one-shot kills, correct? Just duck and weave when you need to.

More people should know this about one-shots...

Only banshee's have true random one shots.

It would of been nice if we could roll though..

I didn't even know this. I'd just put it down to blind luck so far. Good to know, cheers!

Nahh. The DR doesn't make the Batarian's overpowered, and they require specific situations to really take advantage of that bubble trick effectivly (It took me like 20 minutes before I found a place where I could use it that effectivly.  And the video cut out, but right after you see a group of em advance on to me, and me and our group destroy's them while they all shoot at me.)

I don't think the DR makes the Batarian overpowered at all.

I've been trying Zenning's build for the soldier and been having a lot of fun, but I am still having difficulty finding a good strategy for the Sentinel.

I like the sound of this, I personally hate the hornet so I will try a different gun but I am going to give this a try tonight.

@Zenning, keep up the work with your awesome Batarian threads and discussions. ;)

I am playing this build and surprisingly it is damn effective. If the shockwave made enemies stagger more often, then this would be an ideal build. I've had a lot of fun throwing my net at a group of 2-3 enemies, running towards them, heavy meleeing the guy next to the netted guy, light melee the other guy into oblivion for awesome Batarian effect, turn around and start shooting the netted guy. Shockwave anyone else in the vicinity then find cover for shields to recover, rinse, repeat.

Batarian Sentinel seems just as effective as a melee character as the soldier, maybe ballistic vs net means the Sentinel is better equipped for larger maps than the soldier. Oh and I did try the Hornet, as I am without the Hurricane, and I am impressed, the climb on that gun isn't as high as it used to be (I assume the latest update fixed that) and it is quite viable.

My Sentinel is still only level 15 so I will continue playing this build and see how it is with it's powers maxed, but it is promising, I might bring this guy up to Gold tomorrow.

Submission Net is a lot more viable now than it was pre-buff, that's for sure.  I'm still not entirely sure how good the class is, but at least it doesn't have two useless skills now..

Awesome! Thanks so much for the feedback. I'm still waiting for a damn reset card so I can try my own build idea lol but good to know someone else gave it a shot and likes it. At this rate I may just promote and rebuild.

If I don't like the way my melee sentinel turns out I'll probably just go for durability and power spam. The damage resistance is one thing, but the stacked shield recharge speed from Fitness, Blade Armor, AND now that new equipment (shield modulator or some crap) should be super sweet.

So the general strategy is shoot blades, dash for melee, shotgun, rinse repeat?

Generally it's Shoot blades, Shoot, and if they get close, smash their heads off.

You really only want to charge Phantom's, and turrets, and only if they're the only ones around.

For brutes, you just laugh at them while they try to charge you, and punch them in the face, while they take 3 bars from the 3 times they hit you (Without breaking shields), and an extra 4 from your punch.

I just watched your punching the prime video and it really does look like you're punching it in the junk. It even folds over on death before exploding!
