If I'm not being killed by a grenade  once every 10-15 minutes then it's because I'm crying in the corner.

Sometimes the way BioWare forces use to play the game 'their way' is so frustrating and BS. (What I mean by that is in ME2 they wanted us to use cover ALL the time, hence if you weren't behind cover you were dead constantly now they want us behind cover AND moving around from cover to cover or they kill us with gernades. I'm not that impressed with the cover and cover to cover system to want to use it for the entire game!)

I can only play for 30 minutes at a time because I get sick of Medi-gels not filling all the way (sometimes without me being shot at) and I hate the new 'health' system to begin with.

How do you guys do it? I need a 'mega weapon' to be released in DLC so I can get my final achievements!

If you're having problems with grenades, play Sentinel (+Defense Matrix) or Vanguard. Sentinel can hang out behind the same piece of cover all day. With 70% damage reduction, grenades are nothing (take out about 1/4 of your shields on Insanity). Vanguard doesn't use cover.

First of all, what class are you playing as?

With Tactical Cloak, Infiltrators have one of the lowest learning curves of all the classes to play. Cloak will allow you to move around easier without getting shot a lot so that may help.

Since biotics combos only create explosions now, the Adept (and Sentinel) with Liara can be pretty devastating.

I found it easier than me2, just beat it with sentinel+warp ammo on ng+, barely use medigel, take liara and javik most of the time, biotic combo take out almost everything.

Might I recommend a Vanguard with 200% cooldown bonus and with Charge and Nova? Be sure to take the 100% barrier refill for Charge and Pierce and Half-Blast for Nova.

Suddenly Insanity is not insane anymore.

I played through insanity on my second playthrough with my infiltrator. I had a maxed out N7 Hurricane, N7 Valiant and N7 Eagle, gave Garrus a Widow (which got maxed on Thessia), took him and Liara with me whenever I could and had energy drain as my bonus power. It felt like ME2 veteran to me.

Insanity on ME3 is a cakewalk compared to ME2 with those damn respawning armoured husks

..Marauder shields you say? Try using energy drain or overload

To me ME3's Insanity is the easiest and the funnest out of the three games. Play an Adept with a SMG and Heavy Pistol and go nuts with biotic explosions. You barely have to aim. Do they have shields/barrier? No? Cast Singularity then Throw. Yes? Cast Warp then Throw. Dodge grenade then repeat.

It make take a bit longer than other ways but it's pretty easy to do.

finished ME3 insanity with vanguard, soldier, infiltrator, and engineer, as much i wanna play sentinel next, SP insanity difficulty is no challenge for me, unless there will be a release of a patch update comparing it from ME2

There are a couple of places that are a pain in the ass, but overall insanity isn't too bad (For an imported infiltrator like me, anyway).

I agree with you that Cerberus grenade spam is quite annoying, though. Especially because they're so accurate throwing them.

OK, so you play insanity and die once per mission, and are unhappy with that death rate?

[For the record, ME2 tended to fatally glitch once per mission, leaving you stuck in midair until you were killed]

If insanity is too easy, don't play insanity. Duh. If you don't like playing a cover-based shooter don't play Mass Effect play a class less-reliant on cover (that's the point of vanguard and charged weapons - first introduced with the geth shotgun from Firepower (?) DLC in ME2)

Finally, if insanity is too easy, or you don't like enemies spamming grenades, or want to upgrade chain overload to hit 25 enemies, grab a c.bin editor and change the game however you like.

If it weren't for the grenades Insanity would be simple with any class.

Playing as an adept with all that unprotected biotic explosion meat around is a joke all by itself.

Grenades are not that difficult. You KNOW they are going to throw them at you, so why would you be caught off guard when one lands at your feet? Just roll out of the way. Just assume that wherever you are, you might need to move, and plan accordingly. Don't get yourself in situations where you have no room to maneuver, and you'll be fine, provided that you have some basic grasp of the game's mechanics.

I'm not trying to be arrogant or high-handed, but relatively speaking, ME3 is not a difficult game compared to most shooters out there. If you are having trouble, just use your head. I mean, you can pause the game at any point and just look around. There is nothing in this game that requires lightning-quick reflexes or pinpoint aiming accuracy. If you are bad at those things, just design your character build to emphasize different strategies. Anybody can beat this game on insanity.

Stay mobile. Take the initiative. Take the fight to the enemy and you'll be fine

Camping is a bad idea and rather boring too imo.

He's referring to THE Marauder Shields: the one where you can't use any abilities or weapons except a pistol.

Not entirely accurate. In ME2, you can play it without using cover most of the time. Check the ME2 forums for the great vids made by Kronner, Sinosleep, etc.

In ME3, well you do not have to move that much as well. If you are behind long covers, you can just move to the left or right of your current position and the Grenade wont affect you. The key is to disable enemies before they can rain grenades. Incendiary/Cryo ammo does a good job at that. Singularity will float most enemies long enough so that they are not be able to use their grenades often.

Use medi-gel when you are NOT taking direct fire for maximum effect.

Just try not to hide in a tight spot...

Seriously, I thought Insanity was going to be a PITA like ME2, but as others have said, if it wasn't for grenades flushing you out of cover, Insanity would be a joke.

All you have to do is find another safe spot you can get to quickly, then move.

In my experience playing multiplayer has helped me a lot; it made insanity a walk in the park. Try playing bronze first. I think Insanity=Silver at least for me.

My advice: The radial menu wheel is your friend. Grissom Acad. plaza on insanity took me about 45 minutes, not counting the deaths and retry.

You play those tense battles second to second, make a move, radial wheel, swing the cam around, see where everything and everybody is. Give your homies a command. out of radial wheel, make a move, bring up radial, etc.

Insanity is really really easy compared to Mass Effect 2, where everyone was shielded. Do you find rolling from cover to cover difficult? Upgrade Medi Gel capacity to 8, use a Sentinel with Tech Armor on and the less weapons you take with you the easier it'll be. Seriously, the only time you'll complain is in the last fight, where there is no cover and your powers can't be used. And of course, when there are too much Banshees around. Always take Liara with you, spam Stasis if you're a sniper guy, spam warp if you're not.
