I have been a gamer for 18 years, own hundreds of PC games and have had the misfortune of running afoul of many an issue from crippling lags to game breaking bugs, and I can honestly say I've never come across an issue quite anywhere near as terrible as the ME3 authentication serves.

Every time I boot up the game there's an even chance I won't get to play it, not because of a glitch in the game itself, but rather because EA won't let me.

I have thus far spent over 6 hours of accumulated time trying to play a game that I bought and payed for, a collector's edition I might add, and getting nothing but a slap in the face for my troubles. Even as I write these words I am constantly retrying to log into the damn game and repeatedly getting an error messege that can be summed up as "EA doesn't give a f**k about you and is too cheap to pay for infrastracture any other company takes for granted, tough luck and thanks for your money. Better luck next time."

It's this fact right here that makes this inexcusible- there's no possible reason for this issue other than a combination of greed and stupidity- EA is cutting costs by not setting up enough servers to handle the stress. even though the fact that retail figures for the game thusfar are significantly lower than those of ME2 (presumably due to the extended coverage of the game's ending debacle and the technical issues).

On top of that the game's authentication system is so draconic and cumbersome that it takes several minutes of complete irresponsiveness for it to deign to inform you that you can't play, which only serves to rub the fan base's collective face in the fact that EA doesn't give two sh*ts about them.

I honestly believe people pirating the game are having a far better gaming experience from it than we paying costumers are.

I work my ass off 9 hours a day. Add sleep, meals and all the myriad other things that fill up one's schedual and you get precious little time to sit back, relax and play the games you love.

EA is stealing that time from us with their gross incompetence.

This must end, or this might end up in court.
